「The Sunbird waterfront is a very nice modern property with very well appointed rooms. The restaurant is good – breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and polite. I was disappointed by the lack of a tourist activity program, and very ad hoc approach to this. Some of the prices I was quoted for boat, rides, or other accompanied activities were ridiculous. 「The lake view is nice. The water is very high right now and so there is no beachfront (which is reportedly the case at most properties). Unfortunately, my room had no hot water (though they tried to turn it on??) and the wifi might as well be nonexistent. The Indian menu options at the restaurant are very tasty, however. Expectations should be kept in check.」

「The facility is along the shore of Lake Malawi - this is the best part of the facility. Along the shore of the lake, there are a series of accommodation, but I think the beach in front of this facility is relatively cleaner than that of eastern part of the village. However, the room was old (hot shower was not available throughout my stay) and its rate is over-priced. Hotel staff are very kind and helpful. So generally I am satisfied with the stay.」

「A more affordable option in Senga Bay, but still a very nice place in its own right. Much more personable than the more anonymous, bigger hotels. Super friendly staff and owner, great breakfast (with coffee!) and a big room with AC.」
