"Nun ja. Als wir vor etwa 12 Jahren schon im Albergo Italia genächtigt haben waren wir begeistert. Die riesige Terrasse der King Suite (Zi 115) mit Blick über die Sassi hat uns begeistert. Man hat sich damals gut vorstellen können, dass Mel Gibson während der Dreharbeiten zur „Passion Christi“ hier gewohnt hat. Aber Matera hat sich verändert. Unzählige Privatzimmer und B&B‘s sind entstanden und man kann sich bei dieser Auswahl heute kaum noch vorstellen, dass sich jemand mehr als nur eine Nacht...

"Posizione dell hotel ottima vicinissima alla spiaggia. Camera arredamento un po vecchiotto, ma tutto sommato siamo stati bene. Abbiamo cenato in albergo ,che dire tutto buono ,menù completo dal primo alla frutta compreso le bevande. Abbiamo deciso di pranzare anche il giorno dopo. Un forte abbraccio al responsabile del ricevimento al sig. Giuseppe molto gentile. ( la spiaggia secondo me non si dovrebbe pagare )"

"This is an amazing choice to stay in historic Sasso! The location is spectacular! The views are stunning! There is beauty at every angle. You will wear out your camera. No wonder it's been used as a film location for multitudes of movies. Call ahead and arrange for parking because the hotel is in a no parking/driving location. You will understand when you arrive. The spectacular hotel staff will provide a shuttle service for you and your luggage. The amazing and friendly staff will assist you with anything you need. I can't say enough of how helpful and incredible the staff is! Definitely stay 2 days or more if you want to hike at the caves. The breakfast is also spectacular! There is amazing food in town too. Research ahead of time and make reservations as the best places fill up quickly. Truly a stunning choice to stay! BRAVO!"
