Daysland, Alberta, has a population of 824 (based on 2016 census). The Palace Theatre was built in 1952 by the Tury's who even lived upstairs. The inaugural show was “Snow White” and all the ticket receipts were donated back to The Town of Daysland. In 1999 the Daysland and District Cultural Arts Society took over the theatre, did renovations and has been showing movies every weekend, staffed by volunteers. (October 2019)
