"One of the rooms I rented was not up to the standard represented on the hotel website. The room was dark & extremely small. The hotel did move us to another room for the next night & all was well. "

"Exactly what you need for a simple overnight stay. The outstanding feature was the desk staff, who did everything right and were very helpful when there was a problem with the taxi they had ordered for me."

"This would have been a 5-star review except for one thing. Their internet is awful. To say it's spotty would be a complement. When it does connect, it frequently drops in and out requiring near constant sign-ins. This is not good for travelers who rely on the web for travel info. It forces you to choose roaming on your phone which can be very expensive. Nice room, great location and restaurant. Too bad about the internet issues."

"The Hotel des Arts offers excellent value for money in a very affordable, no-frills package. The hotel is in a rather beautiful old building in the heart of Montpellier, close to the station, the Comedie area and dozens of narrow streets containing many bars, shops, restaurants and cafes. The youthful staff are friendly, helpful to a fault, knowledgeable and speak excellent English. Our room was clean, though small and basic, with no tea and coffee making facilities.. "I really loved being so close to the beach.. However I didn’t realize how far away it was from any shops or restaurants or entertainment… only 1 restaurant open within walking distance… and a LONG way from Montpellier… it was my error it not paying more attention to this fact. The property was wonderful & my room superb, with a perfect view of the ocean. Great time for a romantic getaway, not quite as much fun for a single traveller."
