「The staff is very kind, helpful and friendly. They even shared Tamil New Year treats with us. I was able to store special dietary products in the staff refrigerator. I would be happy to stay there again. 」

「Simple but clean and pleasant guest house. During mid-week in February, the guest house was quite empty of guests, and therefore quiet. It is isolated, but the staff at the front desk quickly found me a motor scooter rental. So ALL places I wished to visit were within a several minute scooter trip. There is no restaurant here, but a lovely Indian-style breakfast was served to my room each morning on a tray. Very satisfying. 」

「We had a lovely 5 days at the Conch. It is a 10 minute tuktuk ride into Whitetown in Pondicherry, so very accessible but a little quieter which we preferred. The rooms are clean and spacious with an amazing private pool (can be a bit chilly when you jump in!). We had several meals whilst staying and the food was overall incredible - it’s homemade and full of flavour with plenty of variety. We’d recommend the Conch to anyone looking to visit Pondicherry.」

「The hotel is a very basic one which looks more like youth hostel. Good for individual traveler looking for budget hotel. Would not recommend for business traveler or those traveling with family. 」

「I had four nights in the Lux9 studios. Overall, the best price/performance ratio in this price category in Pondy. The rooms are modern, clean and in very good general condition. A pleasant atmosphere. The manager Inba will take care of any questions or problems that arise. In the evening sometimes disturbing noises from the surrounding area. The path to the beach is a few meters longer than at some other hotels in the area, but it is walkable. The Lux9 studios are an absolutely good choice...

「Nice simple affordable hotel in the middle of Mamallapuram’s main attractions. The hotel is basic but has great rooms with fantastic pool area. Restaurant is ok but there are better options outside the hotel.」

「Would have given excellent all round if they werent upgrading the a/c dining room which meant meals were served in the outdoor cafe which was full of flies. They did their best and gave us room service. Pool was excellent」

「One of the only hotels in white town on promenade beach having sea view from the side. Room 102 has best view, although i stayed in 101. There is a hotel called Ajantha Sea view in the same building which has fromt facing sea view. Cost is 5k per night for sea view rooms. Overall good experience. 」
