Upon check-in, I was surprised to find additional charges, including nightly parking fees despite ample parking space available onsite, as well as a R250 per person damages deposit, which I declined to pay, leading them to take my driver's license as collateral. "Out of this world quality. With a sincere, warmer than warm welcome, we were shown into our one bedroom villa. Sounds pokey?? Don’t you believe it. Kitchen, two lounge areas, wood burning fire, study, balcony, main bathroom and guest WC. A total of 26 chairs between the two of us. Everything really high quality. The housekeeping team were first class. They even went to the trouble of emptying the washing machine and hanging out/folding our clean clothes. Franschhoek itself is a haven...
