The New Town Hall on the market square in Hechingen is the seat of the mayor, the city council and the headquarters of the city administration. The seven-storey building was built between 1956 and 1958 according to plans by Paul Schmitthenner in the classicist style, and the first mention of a town hall in Hechingen dates from 1461.
