ARD AN PHÍOBAIRE, pet friendly in Derrybeg, County Donegal

10/10 Excellent
"This cottage was beautiful and Marie Therese was lovely to deal with. She also left us a few food items to get started and a couple of unexpected treats halfway through the stay as well. The house was bigger than we needed but worked very well for us especially when our daughter came to visit!I loved its location near the ocean. You actually have a small view of the ocean from the front of the house! And there is a beautiful beach to walk, Port Arthur, just a 5 minute drive or a longer walk from the house. For a quick meal when you are too tired to cook or go out, the take away two doors away, Big Bites, has really great food. We ate food from there twice and were never disappointed. Gallagher's Food store is just a short drive away and has all you need and prices that seemed commensurate with the stores in Dungloe, no need to drive all the way there for groceries. And the location is great for day trips anywhere in the county as well as to Derry or the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland. I hope we will make it back and would definitely stay here again. PS, the Teac Hudai Beag Pub has traditional music Mondays and Fridays, apparently all year! Of course you need to be able to stay up late to partake! But it is great fun!"
