A mixed experience. Albert and the cleaning people were helpful, attentive and invaluable. The view from the place was everything you would want.
The apartment was actually quite tired - peeling paint, a leaking toilet they couldnt fix, cracked floor tiles that look ok but make a very loud noise everytime you step on them (inconvenient at night) and a kitchen that was very old, ill equiped and smelly like the cave it is in. Not a chair to sit in - little stools and beds but no chairs
bed was very hard too. Clean - but very worn down.
Would strongly advise against visiting November to Mid-March - 3 restaurants open, maybe 3 souvenir shops and a couple other stores (grocery store, thank goodness). Makes for a disappointing experience regardless of the natural beauty.
To our disappointment, it was very cold, rained every day and very windy - no blame on anyone for that except ourselves. Just seems like the experience isn't worth much when it is completely deserted.
By the way, food was not great - and expensive too.
