「家族旅行で長距離移動中の中継地点として宿泊しました。高速道路の出口からすぐの良い立地でした。通常は予約を入れた時点で、Hotels.comとは別に、ホテルから入り口のコードが書かれたメールが直接来るそうなのですが、それを知らずに到着、到着した時間はすでに受付（20時半まで）が閉まっていて入れない状態でした。関係各所に電話したり色々と試みたのですが中に入れずに、結局、ホテル前の自動販売機でもう一度部屋を取ってホテルに入りました。翌日受付で話すと、とても迅速な対応ととても気の利いたサービス。すぐに調査してくれ、原因もわかりすぐに返金手続き、フランスではかなり珍しくちゃんとした対応でした。（Hotels.cmで予約した後、さらに別の予約センターを通してホテルに通知されるのが、その予約センターからホテルへの連絡ミスだったとのことです。）」

「フランス、オーヴェルニュの田舎をレンタカーで巡る旅。廃墟を思わせる古城の一部を宿泊施設に改造した部屋は歴史の重みを感じさせる貴重な体験。城主のマダムが夕食を提供してくれ（別料金だが）、一緒のテーブルを囲んで家庭料理を味わうことができた。英語がなかなか通じないので、フランス語の できる旅行者であればさらに楽しかったと思う。朝食後に城内のツアーをしてくれ、英語はおぼつかないが気持ちの通じる応対に感謝。」
