Also the older gentleman behind the bar, seemed very cold towards us. I didn’t mind its service as usual in the UK. But compared to the rest of Japan, it was poor. The view is spectacular "

"One word to describe the property: Serene. The various gardens and our tatami Japanese style room really elevated our start. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. They went out of their ways to accommodate my aunt’s request for some freezer space for her mochi. They also arranged a larger taxi to accommodate our luggages. The train station was only 5 mins walk from the hotel. I will definitely be back. Thank you. "

Breakfast was terrific, and the bar downstairs had a friendly vibe, serving a nice selection of microbrews. We were there on a Friday night and the place was buzzing.
