Good hotel, helpful staff

I have been staying in KTM hotels & guest houses since 1991, so I have seen many. This is a newer hotel but as you can see from the photos, a LOT of care & TLC have gone into the design of this hotel. The TLC doesn't stop at the furnishings! The desk staff are always polite and cheerful but also VERY PROFESSIONAL, so perfect for business travelers who want to print a document at 3 am (~3pm in N America lol): just email the pdf to the front desk & they will do it! The kitchen & dining is also fabulous, and is the deal breaker for value, with typical pancakes & sausages & eggs cooked to order for normies, but also delicious vegetarian options, both eastern and south Asian offerings available on a daily basis, with a cappuccino latte also included if desired! A covered outdoor patio garden dining area is convenient for families and groups, while an inner coffee restaurant area with Tibetan turquoise laden table-tops can support laptops for comfortable working breakfasts of travelers needing to catch up with emails. Early risers can also enjoy self-made coffee from the room, and pilgrims can try to book a room that looks directly toward Swayambhu or Pashupatinath for rich support for one's morning meditations! Especially senior travelers (over 50 crowd) are recommended to go the extra mile and book the room with bathtub. You will thank yourself later! Housekeeping teams are also thorough and responsive to detailed instructions. Safe & iron complete the confidence!

We stayed in the suite 902. The wifi did not work for most of our stay. The electric outlets are so loose your charger does not stay in the wall you have to prop up the bottom of the charger with a book or glass to keep it from falling out of the socket. The light switches are in odd locations, for example to turn on the bathroom light you have to go to the far side of the room to a group of switches by the bedside and turn on all lights. The coffee offered in the room was nescafe packets. Bottom line, for $100/night this would have been fine, but for $300+/night it was overpriced and not worth it.

Everything was amazing at the hotel. The staff was so helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is to upgrade the toilets. They were kind of disgusting to look at.

it was one of the biggest festivals in the city, so I was supposed to be picked up at the airpot, but there was not. So I took a taxi and went to this hotel, but hotel staffs were gone and the hotel's gate was also closed. I was really in a big trouble. Fortunately, there was a security guy and he let me in and was really nice to me! thank god! other than that, breakfast was awesome! the room was really clean and nice! I would like to go to stay there again!
