Our holiday flat (non-smoking/no pets), renovated in 2017/18 and lovingly furnished, is located on the Wittow peninsula in Wiek. On the directly adjacent cycle path and a public car park is our fenced detached house in a quiet residential area. Only the road and the neighbouring AOK "Mutter Kind" health resort separate us from the Wieker Bodden with its bathing area and an excellent surfing and fishing spot. The harbour, 500 metres away, with its listed historic chalk bridge and surrounding holiday flats, restaurants, souvenir shops, third-generation fishermen and a boatyard, is the starting point for guided fishing trips, boat hire, boat connections to the island of Hiddensee and our village's waterfront promenade. Let yourself be captivated by the sunset over the "Wieker Bodden" at the harbour.
Our holiday flat is located on the 1st floor and in the converted attic
A separate staircase leads to the entrance hall of the flat. From there you enter the 1st bedroom with a double bed and a fold-out bed. This room is equipped with a satellite TV set, radio with CD and alarm clock function and a fully equipped mini-kitchen. Consisting of a fridge, 2-ring hob, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and crockery. Also accessible from the hallway is a bathroom with shower and WC. The fourth door of the hallway leads you into a large, spacious kitchen with a dining table for 8 people. The modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, ceramic hob plus oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine as well as a kitchen radio with CD function. A wooden staircase leads to the converted attic. Here there is another bedroom with a double bed and 2 single beds. The bedrooms and kitchen are fitted with insect screens. The rustically furnished living area in the attic offers comfortable seating for chatting. A play and cosy corner under the dormer roof is immediately discovered by younger children. The stairwell is secured with a balustrade and a bulkhead so that even toddlers can play undisturbed. Satellite TV, DVD player and a radio are also included, as well as board games, children's toys and a few children's books. Three large skylights (with external heat protection blinds) give your holiday home a bright and friendly character. The second bathroom, also with
shower and WC is the third room under the roof and was newly installed in 2011. Apart from the bathrooms, the entire holiday flat has cork or laminate parquet flooring, and all rooms can be heated to ensure pleasant warmth even in the off-season.
Outside, you can enjoy breakfast on one of the two wooden terraces in comfortable garden furniture, have a barbecue or play outdoor games.

Other living room equipment : In the living room there is a play corner under the dormer. A sofa set with 6 seats and a coffee table and another seating area with reading lamp. Board games, children's books and toys as well as satellite TV and DVD player are available. The staircase to the kitchen can be fitted with a child safety device so that even very small children can crawl up without being disturbed.

The Wieker Bodden is a popular and now internationally recognised surfing area. There is a windsurfing and kitesurfing school on site. The excellent water quality is also ideal for swimming and is particularly popular with families with children. The 8 km long Baltic Sea beach can be reached in just a few minutes. The newly reconstructed harbour is well worth a visit. Here you will find a boat hire service and in the high season, excursion boats to the island of Hiddensee depart three times a day. The very well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails is ideal for excursions. Bicycles can be hired locally in Wiek. Shopping facilities and restaurants can be found in Wiek and the surrounding area. For horse lovers, there are riding stables in the neighbourhood. There is an indoor swimming pool and a sauna on the nearby Bakenberg, where you can also play tennis and golf. From our house you can easily reach the classic excursion destinations on the island of Rügen, such as Cape Arkona, the famous chalk cliffs and the famous Störtebeker Festival.

Location description: Wiek - the village on the Bodden with a fantastic view of the island of Hiddensee Wiek is a traditional seafaring and fishing village and is located on the Wittow peninsula, the so-called "Windland", in the north of the island of Rügen. Today Wiek is a state-recognised resort with around 1200 inhabitants. Its wonderful location directly on the Wieker Bodden makes it a popular holiday destination at any time of year.
