great base for a week of hunting
Place was great and just as advertised. 3 bedroom 2 bath house for $5 more than a hotel room. How can you beat that? Also really appreciated the complimentary coffee, very convenient and fast every morning.

Beds were comfy, but couch, chairs & curtains stained. Many windows had no curtains/blinds, lacking privacy. Smelled musty upon entering & garbage disposal/sink reeked.

Perfect for Hunting trip
House is exactly what I needed for an elk hunting trip. It’s nothing fancy but it’s clean, has character with some original features, the beds are new and comfortable, kitchen and bathroom are clean, and it has plenty of space for two adults and a lot of hunting equipment. Also it has a washer/dryer which not every rental in Walden offers.

Loved our Christmas at Walden Hideaway!
We came to Walden with our grandson and adult sons to cut a Christmas tree nearby and just had a fabulous time! In a beautiful area, Walden was a great 'hideaway' spot where we met so many friendly people with big hearts. Ate good food, shopped in cute shops - fun. The rental was as advertised - a large space with 3 bedroom areas that worked for our group of 5. It was warm and cozy, plenty of fresh linens, a couple of blocks from the main street. Met Santa, Mrs. Claus & the Grinch - bonus! Had everything we needed - would enjoy visiting again.
