The staff. The room was clean except for an oddly placed handprint in the carpet that was red……we weren’t too worried about it as it must’ve been makeup. Gave us a chuckle. The staff apologized fiercely in the morning. During or stay however there was nothing but smiling faces and what seem to be good communication between the staff. There was a feeling calm when you walk in. Nothing like the smell and feel off nice hotel sheets with the faint smell of bleach. Love it.

My teens and I stayed for three nights for a downtown Vancouver holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room had a bit of a view of the ocean and was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very informative and helpful.

The location was within every area I needed to experience. Service was exceptional. Staff extremely knowledgeable and courteous. I enjoyed the service of the courtesy Tesla afforded me. Staff assisted me with emails and tickets for excursions. Would highly recommended the rooftop lounge, excellent atmosphere and the food and drinks were phenomenal. The GM was always very friendly and respectful. Assured that everything was to my satisfaction.

The hotel was an excellent location for both walking and public transportation. We went to several key sites and restaurants. The check in was excellent and they stored our bags most of the day since the room wasn't ready till 3. The breakfast is basically a restaurant; the breakfast voucher entitles you to one item for drink and one food item....the waffles were awesome and the fruit yogurt excellent. The room was clean and had everything needed. Check out was just dropping the key and having the staff get us a cab.

This is one of the lesser priced boutique hotels in the city near Granville Island. The staff was so accommodating the entire two days we stayed prior to our cruise. We arrived early, and they were very happy to store our luggage for us until our room was ready at 3:00, but we were extremely tired from traveling, so they arranged for us to have our room ready before noon. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The rooftop bar was great and they offered wonderful finger food options. We walked only two blocks to the waterfront to access the water taxi that took us to Granville island where there is a terrific market place with food, flowers, gift items, etc. The hotel provided us with a shuttle to Canada place where the cruise ships are. We will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel!

Not sure how this hotel got an 8/10 rating. Anyone accustomed to a reasonable North American living standard will be disappointed with The Met. Given that I got the room for such a reasonable rate, I should have known the quality would not be there. It would be unreasonable to pay the full rate for this place.

Nice location. Rooms renovated but small beds. Parker bar has good happy hour but we were on the 8th floor (right below it), so we could hear music, chairs being moved etc until it closed. Parking is $32/day.
