Cotswolds heaven, feed the alpacas and relax in luxury cottage with hot tub

Middle Wymson House is set in the secluded grounds of a hIstoric Grade 2 listed thatched farmhouse in the pretty hamlet of Wimpstone surrounded by some of Warwickshire's most delightful countryside.
The house is perfectly located for Stratford upon Avon for everything Shakespeare, riverside walks, the races, busy pubs and fabulous restaurants. If this is not enough the Cotswolds offers charming villages and historic houses for a little more culture. And if the city life is more to your liking, Birmingham and the NEC are just under an hour away and Warwick, Leamington Spa and Cheltenham are a lot closer.
The House overlooks the paddock where you can watch over the alpacas and pygmy goats. All are happy to be fed and cuddled at anytime!

WHAT A FANTASTIC WEEK
We absolutely loved staying Kay and Brian's lovely home in the Cotswolds and will return again. Both were incredibly gracious and made us feel so welcome. The property was gorgeous. Our three boys and two dogs loved engaging with the alpacas and goats and the wood fired hot tube was a great addition. The location was ideal for visiting Shakespeare's birthplace and the lovely Cotswold villages. 10 out 10!

We loved Middle Wymson Farm! We were here for a yoga retreat and loved coming back to the farm after classes. The animals run up to greet you and the hot tub was very welcome too. Very lovely spot! We recommend!

Idyllic stay in beautiful countryside
We so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Cottage on the doorstep of the Cotswolds. The cottage itself was beautifully designed and well thought out, with plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. The llamas and goats were sweet and gentle, the kids really enjoyed (attempting to) feed them (they turned up their noses to the food we offered on occasion, not dissimilar to our 3 year old!) The adults enjoyed our time in the wood burning hot tub on chilly evenings. The location is ideal, minutes from Stratford if you want to walk about town, close to the picturesque villages of the Cotwolds, and if you fancy walking via footpath to a country pub you can do that too! Kay was a lovely host, we enjoyed chatting with her and meeting the enthusiastic Buttercup :) 10/10 would absolutely recommend and we hope to come and stay again!!

Cotswolds Heaven
This property certainly lived up to its title, Cotswolds Heaven! Very clean, comfortable, cosy and quiet and well equipped. The location was ideal being a short drive from Stratford and a little further from other Cotswold towns/villages. The alpacas and goats certainly add an interest that we all enjoyed and the hot tub was a great hit with everyone; we used it morning and evening. It was lovely to sit in the hot tub and chat about the day over a glass of wine or a beer. Kay and Brian were the perfect hosts, they were on hand if we needed anything but allowed us to embrace all the area and accommodation offered. We will certainly look to return.

Perfect Place and Location!
First of all, Kay was absolutely lovely and was so flexible with some of our travel mess ups and delays. Thank you Kay! Second - have been to Cotswolds several times, I would say this is one of the best locations as far as being out but in - it was literally minutes down the road from Stratford and then driving to other towns was very convenient. We didn’t really end up with much time at the property but the little we were there I would definitely come back! It was so quaint and Cotswoldish! Beds were comfy and full bathrooms for all bedrooms, plus some! Would highly recommend!

Special birthday weekend
A lovely, well equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Kay was so helpful and gave us useful information on the local area. Nothing was too much trouble. It was fun to use the hot tub, especially at night. It was a delight to feed the alpacas and goats. Finally couldn't finish the review without mentioning the dog Buttercup, she was so sweet and turn up at 7.00pm every night when food was being cooked. I would definitely return.

Fantastic new year break
I booked Middle Wymson Farm as a long weekend break over new year for myself, children & some friends. Kay was fantastic; greeting us upon arrival, full of all the info we would need, friendly & welcoming. We felt at ease instantly & that if needed we could ask for anything, be it advice, recommendations or such like. The accommodation was quirky & quaint, suited our needs perfectly. The hot tub was amazing, the animals were also a lovely addition & the kids enjoyed feeding /watching them. We found the location perfect in that it was out of the way of ang hustle & bustle but in short driving distance to countless amazing places. Could easily have stay a month & still need more time to see & do everything! Would 100% recommend & stay again. Thankyou so much for having us ❤️

Cotswolds Wedding Rental House
The house was absolutely perfect for our family with two boys. We came here to attend a wedding in Warwick so the location was reasonable and we easily got about. The boys loved the animals and we all enjoyed the tennis court. The owner was so helpful and such a fun person to talk to. House was very well appointed and nicely decorated…loved being in the country with sheep in the fields nearby.

Magical Place!!
We had magical time! The place is clean, comfy, cozy, and historic. Kay is a wonderful host. She was so helpful and full of information. The alpacas, goats, Buttercup, and the tennis court made this place extra special. We had a fun time walking to the pub - The Bell - Alderminster. From her location we visited Stratford, the Cotswolds, Bath, and Stonehenge. If we lived in England, we would return every year!!

We had a wonderful stay, all the reviews are right, lovely accommodation, fabulous hosts. We stayed for 2 weeks and Kay was the perfect host, making sure we had everything we needed. She had lots of information about local walks and pubs which we thoroughly enjoyed. The alpacas and goats a bonus, so lovely seeing them out of the kitchen windows.

Meeting of families
My husband and I traveled to England to spend time with my daughter, her new husband and his father and wife. This location was perfect as it gave each couple space while having a joint meeting area. The accommodations were wonderful,. The lodging was Immaculate and so welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely fire every evening. The kitchen was well stocked and allowed many wonderful meals. The location was perfect for day trips throughout the Cotswalds as well as some great Walking on local trails. Kay was an excellent hostess. She greeted us on the first day and was always available to provide thoughts on things to do and places to go. She genuinely seemed to care that we were having a good time. We also greatly enjoyed the alpacas, goats, and of course buttercup. We all walked away with wonderful memories of our visit and all agreed we would love to come back to see Kay and her animals in the future. Thank you again Kay for a wonderful visit and great memories.

Great ten days away!
We had a fantastic ten days staying in Wimpstone. The owners Kay and Brian were great at offering advice about where to eat and what to do locally. The children loved spending time with Jigsaw, Echo and Biscuit the alpacas and Rolo and Bobble the pygmy goats in the adjoining field. The odd appearance from Buttercup the owner’s cute Yorkshire Terrier was also well received. The luxury of having your own tennis court was brilliant too. Thanks for a great time.

Lovely property, fairly compact but enough room for the six of us. Well situated for lots of things to see and do. Quiet and peaceful surroundings but only 10 minutes from Stratford or 20 minutes for the heart of the Cotswolds. Hosts were great and would definitely stay again. Loved it.
