This waterfront home in Port Isabel offers direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway right from your own private dock! Enjoy canal views, a screened lanai and a covered outdoor seating area, as well as an east-facing dock with sunrise views, a 3,000-lb. boat lift, and a fish-cleaning station. You'll also have access to the community's many amenities, including pools, a hot tub, tennis courts, and a fitness center!

This home is located in Long Island Village, which offers indoor/outdoor pools, a hot tub, a golf course, miniature golf, a gym, and basketball and tennis courts. With direct access to the water, fishing and boating are always an option. Nearby attractions include dolphin tours, Port Isabel Lighthouse Historical State Park (one mile north), and the beaches of South Padre Island right across the causeway.

Things to know:

*You must check in at the Long Island Village Resort Center to pay for parking passes (two vehicles maximum) and wristbands. This is an $90 fee that will be paid directly to the Long Island Village HOA on arrival and is not included in your Vacasa fees. If the LIV office is closed, you will need to drive up to the gate. On the keypad, there are instructions for contacting security on call; they will come to the gate. You will be registered and security will allow you through the gate for the night. You will need to go back to the LIV office the next morning to check in. They will provide you with vehicle passes and amenity bracelets.

My Stay at South Padre Island
The resort was quiet and very secure. It was located near the causeway to the island so it was very convenient for spending time enjoying the beach and restaurants along the main drag.

Great location and view. Our dog was comfortable.Pots and pans need to be replaced. Could up date kitchen stove and furniture. Need better deck furniture. Something safer than plastic rockers. Bed mattress could also be updated. Ventilation system needs serious attention. We found filter to replace existing filter it was filthy. A New lock on door is a must. Leaking roof before you enter house by sliding door needs fixing .Better cleaning. My wife cleaned windows,kitchen, bathroom when we arrived. Overall the place could use a major face lift. For the price the owner should pay the 80.00 car pass. With all that said our stay was ok.

Terrible experience
I would not recommend anybody to rent this location not only did the photos not show the state in which the property has been kept there is black mold there is broken and falling apart pieces throughout the place absolute letdown no communication from the rental staff we tried to get a refund or at least get a hold of them to let them know what we had experience when we walked into the place we left within 10 minutes of being there and still no communication from anybody we’ve messaged on the app texted with no response

Good location
As described, this rental is small and sited with close neighbors on the end of a canal. We selected this rental for one reason: the location. And that worked for us. We did not use the community amenities, so cannot comment on those. The property manager was responsive, the check-in/-out instructions were clear. No problems.

Very comfortable and nice!
We had a kid free weekend and this place was perfect. The beds were so comfy and loved being right on the water to fish and the house was clean except we did notice quite a bit of ants in the bottom bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen but they were small and not a nuisance at all. Both nights people were riding around golf carts blaring music and put last night there was a party with nany drunk and loud people but they quieted down about 11 so wasn't a big deal at all. We didnt hear from anyone about the property except the emails from this thing about our upcoming stay. Not sure if that is normal? This was our first stay not in a hotel and actually someones home. Will continue doing this! We enjoyed it for sure though!

Was not a good representation of the pictures
When we arrived the place was stuffy needed airing out. Was very small and we are not small people so tight fit. The lake was basically a swamp so by day 3 we were ready to leave but I talk my husband into staying 2 more days but by day 5 we couldn’t take it any longer so we left Saturday morning. Overall it felt like a prison sentence. Would not recommend it to anyone and would warn anyone against a staying there. They should have said it’s a very small trailer would have been more honest. We felt totally deceived and it ruined y 15 year anniversary trip. I won’t forget this nightmare we fought over the waist of money on such a terrible trip.
