Everything you need
Absolutely perfect. If you are attending something at the exhibition centre, this is the closest accomodation and is worth every cent of attending during Winter as you don’t have to go outside at all 🙏 Chinese restaurant onsite has amazing food. Buffet breakfast is great each morning and the rooms are also awesome. You can’t go wrong with this choice. Our second time staying here and it won’t be our last.

Great hotel right at the convention center. Very convenient. Rooms are nice and updated. I don’t recommend the spa. The masseuse was more worried about getting a huge tip than the massage.

The staff were very helpful and the hotel was definitely clean. The walls, however, seemed a bit thin - you can hear hair drying or the TV or music from adjacent rooms. The food wasn’t great, but overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The best hotel to stay if you are going to the NECC. If not then don’t. For business only and easy walking access to the convention. Friendly staff and great service. Not for kids.

We only spent one short night there, but the room was extremely clean and the bed was wonderful. Very helpful early morning staff getting us a taxi to the airport. Wish we could have used the facilities more.

Professionalism at Its Best
I had an amazing experience at the InterContinental Shanghai NECC. From the time I arrived for check in with Cooper to the time I left, the staff was extremely pleasant and professional. The only problem I had was trying to use render services from the spa facility. The spa svc clerk was very bashful and apprehensive in speaking English and it limited me from using the facility. Although that occur, I would still stay at the hotel. Even the breakfast was scrumptious. There was a large variety of dishes to eat.

Clean and Comfy
I chose the Intercontinental because of it's proximity to the Railway Station. I arrived late from a flight and had to leave early the next day, so I was unable to enjoy the hotels amenities. The hotel is very clean and my stay was very comfortable. The NECC is a huge facility, and from the metro finding the hotel is not clearly marked. If you take the metro, go out exit 6 and walk counterclockwise around the NECC and you will find it within 5-10 minutes.

The biggest attraction of the hotel was to be its location inside the New Exhibition Center and close to Hongqiao Airport / Railway Station. However, in my case, neither of this turns out to be an advantage, but disadvantage rather. My flight lands / departs from Pudong Airport (1 hour from the hotel). And my booth was from Gate# 7 of the Exhibition Center and Gate#7 was a good 15 minutes walk from the hotel, which "real feel" is a 45 min walk, as walking 15mins in open air, with Leather formal Shoes and formal suite / tie & dragging yr sample case = 45mins. And due to the short driving distance, No Taxi gets interested to drop you there. And Hotel was NOT courteous enough to have their guests use their Cable Golf Carts that they have right there, transporting their employees i guess. And to add, my room was the last / corner one on the fifth floor, which was again literally atleast 2 minutes walk from elevators. Beside that so called Convenience, nothing else. Nothing happening in the Hotel. Everything gets closed in the surrounding after 8pm. The nearest Convenient store is 20 mins walk. Next time, i would prefer to stay in the City, say somewhere on the Yan'an Street near Hilton, Equatorial, PuLi, Longemont Hotel and will commute to the Exhibition center by Taxi. Atleast i will be able to get out at Gate# 7 directly and get a Cab from their itself. And i could have the activities in the evening too. No offense, but it didn't worked out at all in my case.

NO BETTER HOTEL FOR TRADE FAIR IN NECC
Perfect for attending Trade fair at Hongqiao, Shanghai NECC since it is connected to the Trade fair hall at the second floor. Everything perfect except service suffered a bit due to language issues but not because of lack of trying. And Hotel offers complimentary shuttle to Hongqiao airport as well as Hongqiao Train station. Metro line 2 is just 5 minutes away.

Excellent hotel - but far from tourist areas
New hotel with decent rooms and excellent breakfast. Very nice indoor pool. Staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Location is very convenient with regard to HongQiao Airport and Railway Station but rather far away from the tourist attractions.
