Great location and very nice property in Salamanca. Right in the heart of the old town area and perfect for exploring the city on foot. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is tucked away and hiding in plain sight. It is literally next to the cathedral and a perfect location to walk the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The parking garage is small, but we were able to fit our small SUV. We will definitely look into staying here again if and when we return to Salamanca.

Sercotel Puerta de la Catedral is an amazing hotel! Nicely furnished rooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast. But what really makes it is the location! Right next to the cathedral close to sights, shopping, and dining options. We upgraded to a superior room and had a balcony with a spectacular view of the cathedral. Wonderful stay and woudl highly recomend to anyone visiting Salamanca

Hotel conveniently located at end (thus away from noise) of mainly pedestrianised street (past Cathedral to Plaza Mayor) with plentiful restaurants - some now closing down their outdoor eating for the season. Very handy for the historic city right beside the Cathedral (although depends upon which entrance they are using). Re hotel details – they have air conditioning. So a very stuffy first night as appeared to be working but ineffective – then we opened window – OK when not raining - to improve matters. Pleased to say still quiet although in central city Reception said – the air-con’s off for the winter – they failed to understand that does not deliver advertised expectations! Room safe worked well albeit difficult to see given its location and available light. Clean, comfortable beds, but only one desk chair to sit on Bathroom – all you would expect with good high shower. Tried the breakfast just once – relatively expensive (and machine coffee) given alternatives close by. Their parking entrance off a side street nearby - needs to be pointed out, but nowhere obvious to park up to unload on arrival. We ended up going straight into the garage having had to walk to reception from car to find out where to go. Parking secure, it’s actually under the hotel – whether there are enough spaces?

This amazing and gorgeous hotel is steps away from the beautiful Catedral de Viaje in Salamanca. Our views were exceptional, the room was immaculate, loved having a safe for my Mac Air, breakfast buffet was beyond amazing! Staff everywhere were so sweet and accommodating and always polite, nice, and helpful with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel. They have a bar on the weekends for evening drinks, the only thing I would have wanted was an espresso machine in the room. But their espresso machine in the dining room was perfect!

Great hotel in beautiful Salamanca!
What a location!!! If you crawl, you can make it to the Cathedral! And some rooms (darn, not ours!) have a direct view over the cathedral across the street! Also, the hotel is a great condition - very clean, with spacious rooms and very quiet AC. Also breakfast was very copious and varied - loved it! Finally, the service was excellent and happy to help with anything. Loved this place - and Salamanca is a true delight! Double bonus!

Nice Stay
Service was good. Staff were helpful and courteous. Check in staff have very useful recommendations on restaurants and sights. Check in was quick and easy. Breakfast had enough varieties of hot and cold stuff. Place was very near major sights ; it’s right in front of the cathedral. This place used to be called NH Puerta de la Catedral. So when you’re trying to navigate to go to the place, you may not find Sercotel. If you find one that s as us NH, they’re the same place.

The view of the cathedral from our room was lovely. The shower in the bath, was not the best. The hotel is very well located for all main attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants. The underground hotel car park was very convenient and the staff were friendly and efficient. A mainly cold breakfast was served, with a couple of hot options, but there was an adequate good choice of food. Overall, a nice, pleasant stay and I would recommend.

I had a wonderful and comfortable stay at this hotel right next to the cathedral and located near the university. Very new and clean with friendly service. Breakfast buffet was very good. Overall a frat fund and a bargain for the price.

Lamentable lo que ocurrio
Acabo de salir del hotel. Todo me había gustado y sobre todo la ubicación. Hice checkout tipo 10:30 am y deje mi maleta y boldo guardadas en el hotel. Tipo 12 o 1 deje una compra de maquillaje y pedí meterla en el bolso. Ya a las 5:44 al pedir me taxi e ir a la estación del tren y ya sentada en mi tren. Reviso la compra de Kiko (cosméticos) y veo que falta un polvo. INCREÍBLE. Pensé se había salido de la bolsa y busque en mi bolso grande, por todos lados y nada. Lo sacaron de la bolsa de compra. Lamentablemente es muy fácil discernir que fue en el hotel. Y es lamentable que esto suceda! Es un polvo suelto que cuesta 15 euros. No es la perdida es el hecho de que por algo tan pequeño pero inaceptable el hotel pierda credibilidad. My bad! No revise el bolso cuando me lo entregaron. Debía hacerlo????? Seguimos un escrupuloso protocolo de objetos olvidados en el hotel, que nos permite controlar inmediatamente cualquier objeto olvidado y su asignárselo al huésped correspondiente, tal y como usted ha podido comprobar con el otro elemento que se dejó en la habitación. No teníamos ninguna coincidencia con la reclamación que indica por esta vía, pero aún así hemos revisado a fondo nuestro maletero y consultado con toda nuestra plantilla por si hubiera podido aparecer en alguna otra estancia. Lamentamos informarle que no se ha encontrado nada. Por supuesto respondo totalmente por la buena gestión de todos y cada uno de nuestros empleados. Le ofrecemos nuestra ayuda si quiere que investiguemos en la tienda en cuestión o en la empresa de taxi, por si hubiera podido quedar olvidado allí. Two days in the historic city of Salamanca
Decided at the last minute to travel to Salamanca and spend two days after meeting a couple from Salamanca in Medina Morocco. So glad we did it and glad we stayed in the Sercotel by the Cathedral.

Fabulous location, but service could improve
Th hotel quality and location were fabulous. I downgraded the overall experience because staff did not honor my request for two beds from my booking (which I showed them) and then tried to charge me more money to get the two beds I requested. I’m pretty sure they gave my room to someone else.

Amazing location!😲
We had a room on the 1st floor with a large terrace facing the cathedral...a stunning setting! The room itself was rather small, no AC so always a bit too warm, and there was a bit of street noise as well. However, we would still stay there again to enjoy the terrace!
