There were pros and cons to this villa and I will list them for the benefit of others who might rent it in the future.
Pros: Convenient mid-island location, near Eldons grocery store, gas stations and restaurants. Pristine Bay is a very safe community so if you are nervous about crime it’s a great place to be. The villa pool is larger than the average plunge pool and was kept very clean. Comfortable beds and ample outdoor seating. Lower than average price for the location. View is pretty. Management company was responsive.
Cons: The place needs some updates - the dishwasher was clogged, the freezer doesn’t work at all, the towels, sheets, and outdoor cushions are way past the point of needing to be replaced. Parking is extremely tight and the unit is at the end of a one lane road so it’s not easy to get in and out of especially if you time it when someone is coming the other way. Because of the way the villa is situated, you don’t get much daytime sun on the patio during winter months, which is nice for keeping cool, terrible if you actually want to work on your tan. Finally, call the Beach Club before you book because the restaurant Aqua was closed down so we could use the pool but there was no bar or lunch unless you went further down to Las Verandas which is great, but they charge you $20 to use their pool even if you eat there. Which is worth it because it’s gorgeous- but as a guest of PB it would be nice to have drinks by the free pool.
