Does your life need a pattern interrupt? Are you getting burned out? How about a cabin in the mountains, a cabin in the heart of the best adventures WV has to offer? Hiking, rock climbing, mountain views, waterfalls, ziplining-- and more! At the end of the day, reconnect with your partner next to the campfire.

LOCATION:
--The cabin is in the heart of the Spruce Knob Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area-- 20 minutes from Spruce Knob or Seneca Rocks. Blackwater Falls, Cass Scenic Railroad, Nrocks, Smoke Hole Caverns, and other popular attractions are also within reasonable driving distance.

--The property borders the national forest.

ESSENTIALS:
The cabin has a full bath, stocked with linens.

KITCHENETTE:
has a double-burner hot plate, a microwave, four-cup coffee pot, and a small refrigerator. Basic cooking and eating utensils and dishes are provided.

Note: please do not drink the tap water; there will be several bottles of drinking water at the cabin to get you started; after that, you will need to provide your own.

OUTDOORS:
Chill out on the country-style front porch and let the world go by. Enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the squirrels.

There is also a fire pit, park-style grill, and a picnic table, because what vacation to the mountains is complete without a campfire and burgers?! Firewood can be purchased on site.

NOTES:
We do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am or before.

Guests have access to the entire cabin except for one locked closet with cleaning supplies.

We are available by phone, and may or may not stop by. Phone service is not good in the area, so it is best to make all contact before you come.

We have two other cabins close by. Other than that, there is wilderness, hiking, and scenery in abundance!

Bring your own transportation.

It is best to come in an all-wheel drive vehicle in snow months. The cabin is at 3000 ft elevation. The road to the cabin will be plowed, but the last 1/4 mile is not salted.

Please do not drink the tap water at the cabin. You will find several bottles of water under the kitchen sink. Other than that, you will need to bring drinking water.

This is a disconnect-from-it-all-and-recharge-in-nature vacation, although WiFi is available at the cabin. (: Phone service is limited. If you have AT&T, you can get service 15 minutes from the cabin. You can drive 45-50 minutes to get Verizon.

If you're headed to the Spruce Knob area, this cabin is right on the forest road that leads in there. Pretty easy check in, fairly cozy, the cabin is RIGHT by the road so be aware. Great place.

Great Getaway
Cabin is perfect for exploring this area of West Virginia. We took a short drive over to Seneca Rocks and hiked the Seneca Rocks trail. Fabulous views along the trail and great viewing platform at the end. Luckily, the fog lifted the next day and we were able to go to both Spruce Knob Lake and the Whispering Spruce Trail that circles the knob. Views were absolutely breathtaking and some of the best we have seen in our travels around the country.

This was perfect
We really enjoyed our stay, made us feel like we can do comfortably with so much less at home- bc it was perfect. We shared the bed rather than use the pull out couch. We should have planned ahead better for hot plate, microwave meals- or they have an outdoor charcoal grill, but we had rain every day. We really loved staying there.

If you're looking for the perfect cabin with that West Virginia vibe stop scrolling. This is it. Let's start with the important stuff. The place was super clean. It has everything you need. Plenty of linens, towels, cooking equipment. The location is on a road but we're not talking the autobahn. It's a mountain road with occasional vehicles driving by. Does not distract from your experience. Perfect base camp for hiking the many parks in the area.

Everything was just like pictures posted. Very clean and adorable cabin in the mountains. Location to other attractions was great. Owners are fantastic people and enjoyed visiting with them.
