The positives would be the food and the staff in this hotel. Both were excellent. There are not enough characters available to list the negatives! Let’s just say the property is tired and certainly not reflective of the slick website images and as for cleanliness and comfort, would probably rate these as the worst we have experienced in all all visits to four and five star hotels over the years. Won’t be returning ever again, despite the lovely staff and good food.

Hotel was very conveniently located for my purposes and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I only had drinks at the bar and breakfast but everything was very good. Only disappointment was my shower, as it was a multi head shower but the ‘rainfall’ standard overhead part didn’t work so I had to use the handheld head

A Cornish Gem in the heart of the county. Friendly and helpful staff. A generously varied food and drinks menu in a quirky and unique hotel. Out stay was relaxing, peaceful and we will be returning soon.

Exellent hotel, first class exemplary service.
Penventon Hotel is excellent in every way in my opinion. Staff offer exemplary service. Breakast and restaurant of the highest order. Quality food, beautifully presented, cooked to order. Spa facilities very good. Free parking. Rooms fastidiously cleaned and maintained. No negatives from my point of view.
