The room was very spacious and cleaned. Staff was friendly. There was lizard inside the room. I guess that comes under the door space. We were the only one at that time in resort, no other guest. Only problem was location was not near to the market. Also, the breakfast served was not upto the mark.

Could choke the chickens
Roosters start crowing before the sun comes up. The thatched roof offers zero sound barrier to the outside, so I barley got any sleep for the two days there. If you are a deep sleeper or bring a white noise speaker, yoi should be fine. Otherwise, decent stay for the price

Dear Guest, there is ample hot water but you cannot have it running constantly or else the tanks do not get a chance to refill and you had the taps in the sink and the shower running constantly therefore the tanks were running dry !, As for your other comments you know are not true you only put to try and reinforce your error with water you caused, i think you were expecting a city hotel not a tropical island hotel.

The noise at night goes right through the roof. We could hear our neighbors as if they were sitting on our porch. You will need ear plugs , dogs and roosters wake you up early morning. We stayed 4 nights and it was the same breakfast everyday. We asked for an extra egg and they said no. Definitely do not get enough water , you want more you have to pay. Other than this it was very nice. Staff friendly , pool refreshing, liked that you can rent scooters right from this resort. Only 3 available, but we had fun . Yoman was very nice😊

Probably the nicest place to stay on Penida island. The room was very clean and safe. Pool was perfect and the restaurant food was way better than I expected. A con would be the traffic nice with the nearby street.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Coco Resort and would recommend it anyone. The staff was so helpful and friendly and were ways available to help us figure out any necessary details during our stay. Our driver was amazing at navigating the roads and would wait for us when we were out exploring different attractions, no matter how long it took. The included breakfast was yummy and we really liked the nearby restaurants and cafes as well. We would definitely choose to stay here again if (and when) we're back :)

Lovely staff who were really helpful in booking a taxi, driver for the day or transit to and from the resort. The restaurant prepared great food for a more than reasonable price. The girl at reception was delightful! Highly recommend!

The location close to crystal bay, and staff is very helpful A plus. Basic amenities such as toilet and showers are sufficient for westerners due to being on an island. Please keep Nusa Penida clean, so we all can continue enjoy this beautiful place.

Three star resort with five starred staff
Great service, nice pool area and information about the island. Very sound sensitive and in the condition of a three star resort at the most. Straff brings up the review significantly. There are a few restaurant within walking distance but it’s located quite remotely. However, the restaurant on the property is okay, the Balinese cuisine is terrific.

Beautiful location and very friendly helpful staff. It is off beaten track so expect a more rural soundtrack. Be nice if they had fresh coconut there given they are called Coco ;)

Quiet and beautiful resort on Nusa Penida
Coco resort is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the harbor. Once you arrive you're greeted by an open air reception area and roughly a dozen huts surrounding the hotel pool. Coco is quiet, clean, and the individual huts make you feel like you're camping in style. Breakfast is okay, but is a nice convenience at the local rate so I'd recommend adding that on. Take advantage of the full day tours around the island, spa services, and scooter rental if you feel adventurous. The staff speak English well and they're always working to make your stay enjoyable. Coco felt secluded since there isn't much close by, but that's exactly the kind of vibe we were looking for. Crystal bay is your closest beach/site as it's only a 10 minute drive away. All other main attractions are going to take over 30 minutes to get to. I would highly recommend staying at Coco resort.

We actually planned to stay here 4 nights, however as soon as after entering the room, we noticed weird smell in the room and it took almost 4 hours to even have the room reached at 25C, which was still very inconvenient for me and my wife. There were lizards running around all over the place and making weird sounds during the night time. The only good thing about this was a nice breakfast in the morning, that is pretty much all. It is definitely not worth 65 US dollars a night type of hotel. If I could, I would not pay more than 20 bucks.

The staff are fantastic. Helped look after our very active 1 year old and not only tried to accommodate all of our requests, but went out of their way to make us happy. The rooms were large and comfortable - although our toddler kept trying to climb the ladder (2.5 meters approx) to get to the beds upstairs. So unless you can think of a way to block that access, the room prob suits older kids who are confident climbers.

Lovely hotel, amazing staff, Rani is amazing.
I booked this hotel after spending a lot of time researching the island, where the main sights were and proximity to a port as I knew the roads are horrendous and they really are! I booked this resort after spending time reading all the trip advisor reviews and having stayed at coco what you read really is what you get! ITS FANTASTIC! Rani the manager is a true asset to the place. She helped us organise all our stay; the scooter, transfer to and from the port for the ferry, day trips including swimming with mantas (which we were lucky enough to see). She’s warmly, approachable and really funny! Whilst we were there it was my husbands 30th birthday. Rani decorated the place with banners, balloons, candles, flowers and an array of cakes were left in the room for us. For us, the downsides were what others had said. The bungalows are wicker/thatch roofs which means you can hear a lot of noise outside (lots of roosters) and people in near by bungalows. Having said that, it was no biggy and I’d already expected it from previous reviews. All the resorts on Penida are relatively remote and with it going pitch black by 7pm meant that I wasn’t keen on venturing out on a scooter after dark given the nature of the Island. Therefore we are every night at the resort. The menu is relatively small But the food is tasty and cheap! We didn’t want to move on! Really loved the place and will definitely return should we come back to Bali.

Service and cleanliness was fantastic, really enjoyed our stay except for the noisy guests next door. The huts seem to not be sound-proof at all, I could hear a conversation happening even though they were speaking at a reasonable volume. Movies that other guests were watching in the evening could also be clearly heard.

Beautiful Resort
We stayed 2 nights here and the resort is beautiful and staff are very friendly. The rooms are spaciou, the restaurant is good and the pool is awesome. It is close to Crystal Bay where the snorkelling is awesome. Will definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Nusa Penida.

If you travel to Bali you must go to Nusa Penida. And if you go to Nusa Penida you must stay at Coco resort! I don't know where to start. The staff were great, the pool was great, the room was great, the food was great. Everything there was GREAT! I just loved it there!

Great little place!
We didn't get a chance to spend much time at the resort. There's way too much stuff to do on Nusa Penida! We had booked the last available villa for or trip for our honeymoon but the room was supposed to be filled with single beds. They were able to rearrange things so that we could get a double bed. Food was much better than expected, although portions were not very large. For those curious, Jaffles are basically North American style paninis.

Nice hotel in the rainforest with great staff
First off, Nusa Penida is not a very touristy location, and that should be taken into account. There are few restaurants, bad roads, and very little infrastructure. However, we had a great stay, and Coco Resorts was a big part of that. The hotel may be hard to find, and I recommend that you rent a scooter at the harbour (they will find you) for 70-80k rupiah per day. MAKE SURE that the scooter (breaks and lights especially) work! Download google maps of the island to your phone before leaving, because cell reception is dodgy. The hotel is located near a few others a bit like it, close to Crystal Bay. The bungalows are spacious and nice, and with a nice view over the pool. All of the staff were very, very helpful and nice, and spoke surprisingly good English. There is not that much to do on Nusa Penida when the sun sets, so we used that time for a nice couple's massage, and felt very well taken care of. Breakfast was good considering the location. Nusa Penida is in general a nice place to see some amazing nature, if you aren't afraid of driving on some very, very, very bumpy roads. The hotel does offer day trips too, if you don't feel like driving. Make sure to watch the sunset at Crystal Bay Beach! Highly recommended!

A well run hotel with large clean rooms and good food. The pool was great, staff were friendly. The only downside was the price they charge for transport - well above any prices I have been charged in many, many trips to Indonesia. If you want an ojek - motor bike taxi - don't book it through the hotel. All the rest - terrific.

Whole island is a pardaise. Amazing natural beauty. Resort is located 2km from Crystal Bay. Untouched nature with one of most popular ocean beaches and amazing sea life. Every day visited with hundreds of divers from all over Bali. Coco Resort is secluded and amazing place in the middle of jungle. Hospitality and service are impressive.The island is very isolated and hard to drive and navigate. It is perfect for complete rest and enjoyment in nature

Das Bungalow bot uns eine gemütliche und einladende Atmosphäre, und das Frühstück jeden Morgen war schmackhaft und erfüllend. Unsere Gastgeberin zeigte sich äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, indem sie nicht nur die Überfahrt mit einem Schnellboot zur Bali Insel für uns organisierte, sondern auch die Fahrt zum Hafen. Auch das gewünschte Motorrad wurde gleich organisiert und zur gewünschten Uhrzeit geliefert. Diese sorgfältige Organisation erleichterte unsere Reise erheblich und ließ uns jede Minute unseres Aufenthalts in vollen Zügen genießen.

Das Resort ist sooo schön und ruhig! Die Anlage ist ein Traum und unsere Hütte war auch super! Alles war sehr sauber, es war ein angenehmer Duft in der Hütte und auch die Habdtücher haben gut gerochen. Das Frühstück war lecker und wir haben uns vor Ort einen Roller gemietet um zu allen Stränden zu fahren! Kann die Unterkunft wirklich sehr empfehlen. Wir waren sehr glücklich dort :)

Hotel mitten im Dschungel. Paradisisch und gepflegt. Häuschen nett aber sehr ringhörig. Einfacher, aber gepflegter Standart. Insekten und Ameisen gehören nachts dazu. Die Lage ist abseits. Ein Roller oder Auto ist notwendig.
