A decent hotel for the price

The overall stay was great, good location 50 min walk from your main attractions, great bakery next door, multiple supermarkets within an 5-6 min walk, lovely restaurant across the street. However there were two main issues: The cleaner that came into our room into daily would only empty our bins and nothing else (no bedding change etc) forgot to change towels/gave too little towels on occasion, there was also a lot dust in the room on arrival, however this wasn’t a big issue as we kept our room clean ourselves. The bigger issue was the staff service at the hotel, majority of the staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. However, on our last day we could not have felt more uncomfortable. We left our bags in the reception area as we had a late flight on our return to collect our belongings the member of staff kept watching our every move very uncomfortably and asking questions in a rudely member, making it clear he did not want us there, we were not longer allowed to use facilities such as the toilet within the hotel according to him. Due to us feeling extremely uncomfortable we stood outside of the hotel waiting a taxi earlier than we planned to, to our surprise the member of staff came out the second we got into the taxi to which I assume was to ask what we were still doing there. Another safety issue I found is that there was no locks on the door therefore anyone with a key can enter your room at any time particularly overnight which is quite frightening.

Stain on bedsheet took multiple requests for a couple of days to get resolved. Freeze did not work and was not fixed after multiple requests. Electrical socket coming off the wall

I booked a room with air conditioning but after asking 4 times to either fix the AC or move rooms I was told by the night staff there is no AC until June. I immediately packed my bags and left for a hotel with AC. They refused to refund any of the money even though I could not stay in such a substandard room. The chairs in the lobby are stained and dirty. The carpet and walls were even worse. Run far and fast from this place. Not only that, if you're taking the bus or train here it's a serious walk with baggage. After leaving and refusing to stay in the hotel the manager is refusing to refund the money. I also paid for 2 breakfasts for two days in advance. They said they would refund that but I haven't seen the refund. In addition, I told them they need to refund the city taxes since I didn't actually stay in the room. I would avoid this hotel like the plague. If I could rate negative stats I would.

The room was incredibly small and outdated. The bed was uncomfortable, with a noticeable dip in the middle that made for a poor night's sleep. I had to request a room change after one night, and the staff was nice and accommodating, but they then provided a smoking room despite our non-smoking reservation. When I went up to the new room I realized our sheets smelled like smoke, but that was the only room left with a slightly better bed and more space. On the upside, the hotel is close to the metro station and many cute coffee shops and bakeries so if you can get over the uncomfortable beds, go here!

Bed was very comfortable and the view from our room was nice. The sheets had stains on them, and the main shower head did not work so we had to use the spray nozzle. The fridge also did not work which was disappointing. However, the front desk staff were very friendly and always there. It was a decent place to stay since we spent most of our days out and about, and not at the hotel.

Overpriced for what you get. The tiny room was not enough space to open a suitcase. The toilet and shower and sink are all in one tiny room, so every time you take a shower the floor and toilet seat are soaking wet. The water spills out onto the carpet and it was molding. The room smells strongly of tobacco and perfume. The pillows were destroyed and not functioning. The staff were pleasant and helpful but not very fluent in English.

I would go back to the Hotel Moulin Vert
The Hotel Moulin Vert is located in Paris’ 14e arrondissement, a location I much prefer to other arrondissements that are more frequented by tourists. When you go out to a good restaurant or to a shop close by, chances are you will encounter mostly Parisians. The hotel is small and has an elevator. Our room was small, but was still comfortable (clean comfy bed, small but clean bathroom, AC, WiFi, television.) Carpeting in our room and in the hallways showed age and wasn’t clean everywhere, but that didn’t bother us. Keep in mind that you can spend a whole lot more on a hotel room in Paris without it being cleaner or more comfortable. Hotel Moulin Vert is easy to get to (10-minute walk from the metro station.)

Unfortunately we did not get to stay as our flight was cancelled, so this has nothing to to with the physical hotel but the management. My rating is based on the hotels compassion for an unavoidable circumstance. Our flight was literally cancelled the day of departure so we had NO WAY of getting to Paris. Hotels.com tried to call to get our money refunded and Hotel Moulin Vert refused. Very sad, I understand we booked non refundable, and I can see if we just didn't show up or changed our minds, I just feel with this type of circumstance some consideration could have been made, we had proof of flight cancellation.

Clean, cozy room. Worked fine for me as a solo traveler. I was able to book last minute for 1 night and had a pleasant stay. Just a 15 minute walk from Gare Montparnasse. Only issue was that the WiFi went in and out a few times. Overall, good value and location.

I personally really like this hotel. Its in a good neighborhood. Its quiet and close to many shops and restaurants. Directly above a bakery. It is easy to travel to the tourist attractions by metro. For the price it suited my needs perfectly

The hotel location is fine, not too good not too bad. The room is small, cleaningness is bad. They did not even replace the shower gel. Also, the sound isolation is so bad so we can hear the room next door is screaming while having sex.
