The room was very nice, spacious, well decorated and there were nice touches such as the robes, the radio being on when you arrive and the little sleep kit with the eye mask and earplugs. The staff were super friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious

We recently stayed 2 nights visiting family. The room was fine but the walk in shower could have been fiercer. Luckily I didn’t need to wash my hair as it would have taken forever! Bed was very comfy. Could have done with instant coffee sachets as only a Nespresso machine available. We reserved breakfasts on two occasions but cancelled the second morning. This was because, to our surprise, the first morning we ordered Full English breakfasts and then were charged over £3 each for coffee. We have never paid extra to have what should be included in a hotel breakfast anywhere we have stayed previously. We did question this with the staff but they offered no real explanation or discussion about it. This really needs to be addressed we believe.

Quaint, friendly and very comfortable hotel
Staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, food was very good, rooms very comfortable and clean, homely atmosphere. Bathroom figments could do with refurbishment. Would book again without any hesitation.

Charming, well-run inn in beautiful Cheshire
Absolutely charming hotel, perfectly located for our purposes. Very clean, lovely service. Of course the room was small by our standards and we had to do some creative rearranging of furniture and coffee tray etc. Also the large, spotless bathroom had a beautiful antique clawfoot tub/shower combo, which was challenging for my husband to get in and out of--just request something else at booking if that is an issue for you. Also note that the rooms do not have mini fridges, but you can access the bar fridge if needed.

We only stayed one night but loved the rooms, very nice decor, deep freestanding bath. Very good value, we will visit again. Breakfast wasn’t included but was excellent .

Great rooms, great access from restaurant/bar to rooms and friendly staff. Service for breakfast was extremely slow and I’m not sure why as is wasn’t busy, drinks are quite expensive but overall very lovely place - great for dog lovers including myself!!

Great welcome by all the staff including the cleaners who all said hello. Clean room, great bathroom and well decorated. Restaurant served a good mixture of food. Brekfast was cheap and very tasty.

Too Noisy To Sleep...
Hartford Hall is a pleasant looking pub/hotel, which is easy to find. Car park spaces are very tight and limited in the main car park, so I parked in the lower overflow, which meant lugging all my cases etc up to bar area where Reception was based I was given a key and told the accommodation was in a separate block at the other side of the property, which meant lugging cases etc outside again and walking to the block (in the rain). Its not far, but not what you need after a long day. The entrance to the accommodation block is not inviting and the roof was leaking into the corridor by the door. Corners of the corridor are bashed and it smelt musty. I was not hopeful about the room… …but was hugely surprised. The room was spotless, nicely decorated and the bathroom was very clean. Unfortunately, the pub stops serving food at 8pm, which I thought was ridiculously early for a ‘hotel’, so cannot comment on the quality of the food on offer. I ended up getting a pizza delivered. The big issue… …NOISE! I got very little sleep due to the noise from the adjacent rooms above and at the side! Nellie the elephant must have been staying above as every footstep thudded through the ceiling. I had someone who snored so loudly in the next room which woke me up and on the other side I had a couple who must have been deaf as their TV was so loud. I was too tired and didn’t want to get up and get dressed to go and complain. When checking out, I was never asked if everything was OK

A lovely hotel and restaurant
A lovely large bed and spacious room, I lovely roll top bath, fab addition of Netflix. Bubble bath would have been great so I could use the bath. A larger sink because the shelf above blocked getting to it properly, there was a very strong smell of chlorine in the corridor which lingered in the room all night.

A Good Pub but not a 4 star hotel
An upmarket pub with bar and restaurant. This is not a 4 star hotel. No air conditioning in the rooms which face onto a fairly busy road and, with the window open, traffic is heard throughout the night.
