When we arrived at this beautiful property we were all excited to enjoy a romantic couples weekend in Mystic.
Unfortunately, the legitimately paper thin ceiling provided us no buffer from the full experience of our upstairs neighbor's toddler running around and baby crying which began at 5:45 am.
After speaking to mother the next day, she kindly kept the children quite until 7:30 am. (While I'm an early riser and don't have a problem with an early wake up, it's not what my wife and friends signed up for.)
I brought this to the attention of the management company immediately, who explained there was nothing more they could do than ask the family to try to keep the kids more quiet in the early morning....and that in a future stay she would offer a discount.
This is the definition of poor management skills. An immediate apology and offering of a discount for our inconvenience should have been standard protocol.
So if you are looking for a romantic getaway and presume that spending $1000+/night should ensure that....guess again.
As beautiful as it is, I highly suggest skipping this property!!!
