It was lovely - my room was clean and spacious, with a daily cleaning service; the hotel is very pleasant and attractive, and the reception staff went over and above in their efforts to help. The location was safe and walkable, and for the price it was an absolute bargain. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location; all the places I wanted to go to were walkable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and bathroom facilities all in great working order…hot water, strong flow. The pool was pretty and well maintained. Breakfast was mediocre…literally that’s the only thing I’d change but next year I’ll stay here again.

The location is excellent. Very close to the city centre, and a few metres away from a lovely bakery and an amazing cantina. The pool is very nice and the rooms are comfortable. Our room had a small terrace, which was a lovely detail.

Nice stay in Merida

One night stand at the hôtel. Parking is easy. Very easy access to the hotel. The rooms are okay with the necessary you need. Beds are comfy, nice TV with many channels, bathroom was very clean. Bedset are a bit old school Breakfast was good with a choice of continental, american or mexican food witvh hot and cold beverages. Swimming pool was okay. The employees were very nice

I love the fact that this hotel is close to a lot of the major attractions in downtown Merida. If you seek a full cultural immersion experience with the ability to walk to some of the best sights, parks, events, restaurants, and shops, staying at Maria Jose is a great choice! Excellent hotel! Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Pool was also clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was good with multiple options and great service. Downtown is easily walkable and there is a pizza place around the corner. The block is a bit dark but seems perfectly safe. Overall, a great experience here and I would definitely return!
