Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The location is convenient for sightseeing, with Paddington station a block away and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around. The hotel itself is decently renovated but in an old cramped building. Slow elevator, narrow corridors, and no amenities or common spaces beyond reception. The room was very small but well kept. It was a little awkward to share a room because the bathroom is just behind a glass divider instead of a separate room, offering little privacy. The app never worked for unlocking the front door so I had to use the key code every time, and neither the app or code worked for the room door but I was promptly given a physical key by the staff.
Overall, you get what you pay for - this is a good option if you need a clean and reasonable place in central London, and don’t plan on spending much time in the room.
