The staff is very warm and welcoming. Mind that there is no elevator at the property but the staff is vary helpful to assist you with the luggage.

Family room was nice and comfortable for 4 of us and very clean. Breakfast was nice enough but is in the basement which isn’t great. Especially when it’s busy. But we will be back. It was a nice stay in a great location for the train stations and central London.

Will never stay there again staff were rude when we complained about the heat they put the heating on 18.00 till 22.30 so when you wake up in the morning it's cold also I had to leave early for work there was no hot water we booked 4 nights had to leave after 2

The guest stayed in one of our new refurbished rooms so we are very surprised by the feedback. The heating and hot water was checked by our maintenance team and was working fine. We always strive to go the extra mile and the comfort and satisfaction of our guests are primary in everything we do.

Fourth time I’ve stayed (i.e. the last 4 times I’ve visited London on business from the Midlands). I like everything about it: quiet and extremely well-positioned near to St Pancras. Nice staff, good breakfast. Nice atmosphere.

My daughter's and I spent a long weekend in London and we found the Mentone Hotel is in an excellent position for getting around London (Russell Sq tube). The area is quite leafy and has tennis courts opposite. We had room 26 a quad room to the front of the property. The hotel itself is clean and practical. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay again. One tip is the hotel doesn't have a lift which would only be a problem if you have mobility issues. Thank you Mentone team for making our stay a happy one :)

The staff were great. The property is old and the rooms are small but the location is superb, and it did the trick for a couple nights stay due to a horrible layover!

Great value for money and SO quiet!
The room was beautiful and well appointed; extremely quiet being around the back (no view but the peace made up for it!) A lovely friendly quiet place to be in an excellent position for Kings Cross & Euston; will definitely be back!

Honest accommodation near King's Cross/St-Pancras
Staff was polite. Arrived very early (way before check-in time), they offered me a cup of tea and kept my luggage until I could sign in in the afternoon. Clean room and hotel in general, shower did not drain very well and is flat with the rest of the bathroom floor, so there was water all over the bathroom floor. Did not take breakfast there so I cannot comment.

Good stay, nice and clean!
The hotel was clean, nice bathroom and very close to Euston station. Could not fault it. As it must have been quite a substancial residence in the past the only thing is that you can hear guests walking in the room above you. Altough that has happened in newly built hotels too. I had a good stay!

Good choice
Good choice for the price and in a really nice area - a very typical central London street overlooking a green. Warm, comfy but hot water wasn't hot.

Staff were absolutely excellent, nothing was too much trouble. They were attentive, without being intrusive. The room was perfectly adequate, with more character than a premier inn or other large chains. Location was perfect, just off the Euston Road, but close enough to be able to walk from the station. it did get a little noisy at night, but mainly due to the nature of a big city, nothing the hotel could do about this, and it didn't last long.If in London again for the night this would be my first choice hotel. I did have a room on the third floor, which involved negotiating a narrow spiral staircase with my suitcase. Being fit and healthy this was not a problem for me, but may be something less fit people may want to check when booking,

Everything a Solo person needs!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Mentone Hotel. I had a single room, which was small but had all the space I needed with a lovely shower. Overall the cleanliness was immaculate and the view out the window was great.

Perfect location close to British Library and Kings Cross/St. Pancras train station. Stayed here to move my daughter into Garden Hall for university. Clean, well decorated, friendly staff, great breakfast! Park right across the street with tennis courts and path.

Hotel was clean but had faults
We had 2 night stay here we arrived about 11 o’clock and put our bags there then went out for the day. When we came back we got given our room in the attic, when we finally got up the stairs with a suitcase bags and our 6 year old daughter to our room the room was nice and clean but felt sickly was so high up, there wasn’t many towels in the room. On our first night sleeping the guest below had the tv blaring until 1 am in the morning I had to go downstairs in my pjs and knock on the guests door and argue with them to turn the tv down. Breakfast the next morning was a bit of a nightmare there wasn’t enough space for the amount of guests at the hotel so there was a wait to be seated a wait to get to the food. We spoke to the receptionist about moving rooms they couldn’t move us. We went out for the day came back and when we tried to get up the stairs our daughter slipped on the stairs then in the middle of the night someone downstairs started cooking and set the fire alarms off in the hotel. I had no sleep the 2 nights that we stayed. We came for a nice little break as my husband had a second stroke recently and I was in hospital last month. It’s such a shame as this hotel looked lovely nice furniture but just things let it down. Staff where nice and friendly.

I was pleasant surprised with this small hotel. Very safe neighborhood, 3 blocks from the Russell Square train station. I took the underground directly from Heathrow and walked to the hotel. If you can’t handle stairs, that could be a problem. I stayed at the last floor, it was 56 stair steps. I got a less expensive room at a top floor. They have rooms with no stairs. I did not have breakfast there, but they do offer it for 10 pounds. They also have 2 Starbucks close by. In Terms of place to eat, Brunswick center has great options, including a great large supermarket (waitrose). There are many small pubs and restaurants on the way to the Brunswick center. There is also a Laundromat. The area is very safe and filled with young people, probably students from the university of London. Highly recommend Mentone hotel.

This is a perfect location if you’re visiting London. It’s right next to the train station with tons of food options and easy access to anything and everything you want to do. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The property was in an excellent location, had daily housekeeping and met out family’s need of 5 people. It was small (very small!) and had no air conditioning - which would have been welcomed as it was very hot when we visited. Overall, had a really nice stay :)

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was extremely convenient for taking the Eurostar to France. I also found some great restaurants close by. There is no lift/elevator which made getting bags in and out of the room a little challenging, but I knew that might be an issue before booking. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when in London.
