Highly recommended. Lovely building, well furnished and decorated, fantastic room, beautifully clean, good breakfast, good relatively quiet central location, parking. More luxury boutique hotel than b&b but no bar or evening food (due to COVID?). Overall very good value.
Great find Great place. Great management and staff
Lovely place to spend some time. In the centre of Lichfield with most sights being within easy walking distance. Creatively and comfortably furnished throughout, all in keeping with the style and age of the property. Wonderful staff and nothing was too much trouble for Dan and his team. Amazing breakfasts, both in choice and quality. Couldn’t fault this place! Highly recommended. We will be back.
It was the first time we stayed at Saint Johns House and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the terrace which was lovely and we had our own patio area to relax on which was nice, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was included in the price and there was plenty of choice and it was very nice. The staff at Saint Johns House were very welcoming and friendly, also the hotel is only a 2 minute walk into Lichfield so it’s very well situated and we will definitely be staying again
Lovely stay breakfast was superb. I am a bit of a light sleeper so could hear the cars during the night due our room being at the front of hotel. Room was lovely and decor gorgeous 😍 wpuld stay again but have a room situated at the back of hotel if possible.
Lovely comfortable luxury b&b. Good quality breakfast and great central location. Stylish room with lot's of space. My only minor criticism was the room being slightly warm on the night but easily rectified so I would not hesitate to go back
Very pleasant stay, characterful building in the heart of Lichfield. Room was spacious, very clean and comforta le with some nice added touches. Owners clearly work very hard.
We stayed for new years eve. From check in to check out everything was great. We stayed in the coverted stable block. Comfort and attention to detail is second to none. Real coffee for the coffee machine, fresh milk in the fridge and gorgeous home cooked biscuits. Breakfast was fresly cooked and hot and tasty. The staff and decor in the main house made you feel right at home. There is an almost old fashioned bed and breakfast feel to the hotel. Definitely the place to stay in Lichfield. Two minutes from the town centre and from the station. Ample parking.
Very friendly staff. But the day we arrived there was a wake that took over the whole of this small B&B and we were confined to our room until the next morning. The room was much smaller than we enviioned and most bizarrely our bathroom including shower and toilet was opposite our room in the corridor. To use the facilities you had to take a key and unlock the bathroom. It was very inconvenient, especially at night. The location was great and they ad a secure car park.

Thank you for your review, its very clearly stated that the Victoria Room is not fully en suite, we cannot do anything about this. We are a function venue also so I will not apologize for having a wake as it had no detrimental affect on your stay and nobody confined you to your room we are a bed and breakfast not a prison. Certainly not odd
Superb small hotel close to the train station and the city centre
We stayed in the converted stable block across the courtyard from the main building. The room was very cosy with a decent ensuite shower room and ample toiletries.A little room off the bedroom houses some nice touches like slippers ,bathrobes, iron, fridge, hairdryer and plenty of tea and coffee options as well as a couple of home made cookies and a jar of boiled sweets. A delicious locally sourced breakfast is served in a pleasant breakfast room.
My stay at St John’s House was luxurious and a well needed break away. The furnishings and decor are great. There are so many nice watering holes and restaurants near by.
Regency house on the high street in Lichfield, with thoughtful artistic and post modern flourishes acrossthe old structure. But had bad sleep from both traffic noise (next to road) and winds whistling through the scaffolding outside the room.
An enjoyable stay. The bathroom was across a corridor, not ensuite, but it was for our use only, and a great size. There was scaffolding at the front of the building, but this could not be helped. The hotel was in a good position for walking into the city centre, and the breakfast was excellent.
Beautiful hotel/B & B. Excellent rooms and facilities, lovely breakfast. Staff could have been a little more personable but that is my only negative as everything else was top class.
