Unexpected gem
This hotel was an unexpected gem. It was perfect for a short two-night stay, but I could easily have stayed much longer. The central location near Nicolaikirche was phenomenal, close to many attractions and great restaurants. The train station was only a few minutes’ walk away. The room was modern and clean, and the air-conditioning was appreciated on the 90° days. The room did not have a cabinet or drawers, but there was ample room to hang garments. The bar next door is open late.

Feel like coming home
Hotel was full and the breakfast time was rather congested. The breakfast staff were working hard to keep fresh supplies for the buffet, and picking after us always with smile. Room cleaning was missed one day, but my husband went to the reception and immediately received fresh towels and toilet papers. The location is one of the best for taking advantage of musical offerings during the annual Bachfest. My husband and I feel very comfortable here.

Location was perfect for a short stay, clean, quiet and comfortable room with a nice breakfast buffet selection. Would maybe be nice to have a fridge in the room if we were staying longer than 1 night but all in all, would recommend this hotel for a short stay

Fine Hotel in Leipzig
While the rooms at Motel One locations are not large, they are what I need to sleep well, which is what I did in Leipzig. The entire room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was spotless. I have stayed at this hotel for various summer visits over the past 6 years, and it has consistently been a fine hotel.

Hotel was in a great location! However the facilities were quite basic. No phone in the room. Don't know how we would have contacted reception if there was a problem...No tea and coffee making facilities...No wardrobe....We utilised the 4 hangers provided and hung clothes from a random rail on the wall. This hotel is really only suitable for a very short stay. Finally, the website rate for the hotel was by no means the cheapest rate. The hotel had billboards around the town advertising a much cheaper rate.....

Excellent choice if you are going to the opera
The hotel is an easy walk from the main station, and it is especially convenient to the opera because of the covered passageway from next to the hotel to the square in front of the theater.

Blue sweets
Great location in the city centre, it couldn't have been better. Easy access to all main sights. Staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet. Excellent WiFi connection. In city centre clise to shops etc
Small clean room. In centre of leipzig so close to shops and some attractions. Friendly helpful staff. No tea or coffee making facilities so this is one of the things that lets it down. No wardrobe. I dont like hanging my clothes up over the room. It makes it so untidy. The windows are dangerous. They open fully but there is a pane of glass which goes halfway ip the outside if the window and if that is pushed you could go right out of that window. Breakfast not included in the price. This hotel was more expensive than the Hilton in Berlin which gave us breakfast , a wardrobe , and tea and coffee making facilities. So please take note.

Lovely hotel - very central
This hotel was so clean and new looking. The room was immaculate as was the comprehensive breakfast purchased separately for 9.50 euros. Front desk staff very helpful and we were allowed early check in as our flight landed early in the day.

great location as the hauptbahnhof was only 5 minutes away. Easy walking to most Leipzig attractions. Staff was friendly and housekeeping great. sustainability focus so we chose when needed new towels etc

Helpful staff
The reception staff was very helpful. I fell and sprained my ankle, and one of the staff got me a cold pack and towel to wrap it up. In the morning another member of the staff called me a taxi and helped me get my luggage outside.

Sparse Hotel in Excellent Location
Great location but very small, sparse room. Found bed to be very hard and the twin duvets to be too small on a double bed. Missed touches like kleenexes, shampoo, towel racks and storage space. The first room we were assigned had an unpleasant odour but seemed to be clean. The breakfast was excellent and loved the friendly staff that managed the beautiful breakfast room. Thought that the front desk staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Also would have liked the staff that cleaned the rooms to replace the plastic cups, especially when they were cracked and to remove any dishes. Cost for room was reasonable.

An excellent value hotel with nicely designed modern rooms. Free wifi is a must-have for a hotel in my book, and this was by far the best and fastest I've seen in any hotel. I would stay again if/when I return to Leipzig.

2016 Germany trip
Nice hotel. Close to the main sites to visit. The hotel address is not properly indicated on the registration, so we had to park the vehicle and go on foot looking for the hotel. Went to a restaurant who was on the same street as the hotel was supposed to be. Hotel was behind a mall overlooking the Platz.

Motel One
I spent one night in the hotel after attending a nearby concert. The hotel is perfectly located for shops, bars and the Central train station. It would also be an excellent location if visiting for the Christmas Markets.

Very nice hotel chain right in the center and very close to train station. Don't be deceived by its name, it is a very nice hotel. The only thing that I would add to the room is a tea/coffee maker. I will go back to any of their hotels.

Super Hotel in Leipzig
Wir waren 3 Freunde in 2 Zimmern. Das Hotel ist fast in der Mitte von Leipzig, so alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind leicht zu erreichen. Mein Zimmer war sauber, das Bett bequem und das Frühstück lecker. Die Hotelarbeiter waren alle höflich. Ich würde wieder dort gerne übernachten. We were 3 friends in 2 rooms. The hotel is almost in the center of Leipzig, so all the sights are easily accessible. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel workers were all polite. I would gladly stay there again.

Fantastic spot
There are two Motel Ones in this area; you can see one from the other. This is the one designated "Augustplatz", on Ritterstrasse, a wonderful modern trendy hotel in the heart of old Leipzig just across the street from Nikolaikirche and a very short distance from St. Thomaskirche, the Markt, Mendelssohn Haus, the Gewandaus, the main train station---you name it. It was perfect for us. The room is a decent size, not large, but with more than enough space for two people. You put your room card in a slot by the door to make the electricity function and when you do so, the TV comes on with an aquarium and background sounds. Not our taste, but cute. The bathroom is ultra-modern, from a girl's point of view, she says "shear comfort, and every girl will know what I'm talking about," only a shower, but hi-tech faucets and lots of water. Quite a few electrical outlets in the room too, if, like us, you have lots of things to charge. Service is excellent. We got a map at check-in. Wish that was more commen. The Wi-Fi connection was quick and strong. Didn't have breakfast in the hotel. There's a fabulous place called "back WERK", part of a chain, across the street that serves lots of breakfast and lunch stuff, and great coffee, at low prices. We used it several times.
