The hotel is very clean. Even the room is small but the cleanliness is the strong point of the hotel. Fast checkin and checkout. Breakfast is ok depends on each person. Good walking distance from Kyoto station. Will come back next time in Kyoto.

This hotel is kind of out of the way. The number 9 bus runs to train station and the stop going to the station stops right outside hotel. The stop where you would get off from the station is a couple blocks from hotel. That being said, we decided to walk with our luggage from hotel and it was a 20 min walk. We took the bus to the train station upon check out and that was infinitely easier. The hotel breakfast was included but so busy and crowded that it was absolutely not worth it. Save yourself some stress and find somewhere better. The room was fine, staff was fine. Just not a ton of things around and I underestimated the distance to the center of things.

Room is clean and breakfast is good. Location is excellent with bus stops just in front of door or across street to all major attractions with no transfers needed. The only thing I do not like is the reusable slippers. Other hotels in Japan I stayed all offer disposable slippers.

This property is right next to a bus station, which is very convenient! On the whole Kyoto's public transit is harder to use, making the location a little less ideal than a similar place in Tokyo. The included breakfast was fantastic, and the common space was really nice to have. The room was smaller than we would've liked and we did have some trouble with the AC unit, but overall the hotel was clean and a good experience!

Pretty excellent compare to American terms. There are just so many competitions compare to Japanese hotel standard. For the price, the breakfast and coffee is pretty good. We would recommend it to budget cautious friends.

Decent stay overall
The breakfast was a mixture of western and Japanese style. The pillows were flat, but at least we had them. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the hotel was clean overall (aside from one of the walls in our room), and was in a decent location to access multiple areas by foot, with less than a 30 minute walk. Bus stops were nearby as well.

Great hotel, location a little off the beaten path
It's a great location if you are comfortable taking city buses. It's not that close to a subway line (minimum 15 minute walk) or Kyoto station and not super close to any of the major sites in Kyoto. BUT the hotel has a great breakfast, clean rooms, nice laundry machines, offers free pajamas, and has great staff. Takako Hayashi, one of the receptionists, was our favorite receptionist on our 2 week trip to Korea and Japan. She explained everything very clearly and was so patient, friendly, and helpful. Overall we had a great stay here and looked forward to coming home to our hotel at the end of our long days.

What a great hotel! It was incredibly clean, great free breakfast in the morning and wonderful staff! The room was a great size, especially for Japan and great location! We highly recommend this hotel for any travellers coming to Kyoto! Will absolutely stay again if ever back in town!

Very good budget hotel. The room was small but perfect to use as a place to sleep. Staff were very nice and the provided breakfast was great! We also really appreciated the washer and dryers and the timer on the tv that tells you when one is available or how much time was remaining on each machine.

The hotel is a little far from the major sightseeing destination but it’s walking to cat the bus or the subway. Overall it’s clean, I really liked the cleanliness.

Wonderful stay
Great hotel. Beds and bathrooms are clean. I reserved 2 rooms. One room for my wife and I, and the second room with 3 beds on the floor (Japanese style), and our 3 kids love it. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to subway, which is ok for adults but is tiresome for kids.

Overall satisfied with this hotel. While the room may be a bit small (but I noticed that trend in Japan. Everything seems smaller to us Americans), the amenities are great and the staff are quite attentive. My wife and I would stay in this chain again given the opportunity.
