Good value ground floor property with parking outside the front door. Walk is manageable to Peru lift. Furniture is old and a bit tired, especially the mattresses. The Goat and Snowdance sports are right there for your soup, whiskey and rental needs

Great property for the price except the beds are hard as concrete so the sleep experience was painful.

During our spring break, we had the pleasure of staying in a quaint condo nestled in the heart of Keystone, a location that promises adventure and serenity in equal measure. This unique retreat offered us a nostalgic journey, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Colorado. Rated at 3 out of 5 stars, here's our take on this charming getaway.
The condo itself carries the charm of a bygone era, with its rustic decor and a collection of eclectic furnishings. It's a place that tells a story, inviting you to be a part of its history. The array of kitchen appliances, from coffee makers to a George Foreman grill, was impressive, though we noted the absence of sharp knives and a cheese grater, which would have made cooking a bit easier.
While the mattresses and some aspects of the interior decor presented challenges, reminiscent of a vintage charm that's a touch too authentic, these were balanced by the warmth and potential of the space. The temperature varied from room to room, adding a quirky character to the condo, though a more consistent warmth would have been appreciated.
The kitchen and bathrooms showed signs of wear, with a need for some updates to enhance the overall experience. However, these elements did not detract from the undeniable potential of this condo to serve as a cozy retreat for those looking to explore Keystone.
In conclusion, this condo, with its unique character and stunning location, is highly recommended for adventurers seeking a stay that's out of the ordinary. It's a place that, with a bit of love and attention to detail, could transform into an even more enchanting escape. We look forward to seeing how it evolves and hope to return to a refreshed and even more welcoming space in the future.

There was black mold in the showers and grout. It was extremely noticable, in both bathrooms and in multiple places. In one of the bathroom, the bath fixture was so worn and leaky that rust was streaking down into the tub. Brown mold on the ceilings of the bathroom. Beds are hard as a brick. Kitchen was clean but not well organized. Carpet is quite worn but not a huge deal. Check in process was easy but you only get 1 key so if you have multiple guests, enjoy dealing with those logistics. Furniture placement makes no sense and the large tv is placed upon a tall piece of furniture that looks very off balance and liable to tip over so if you have small children who want to climb things (all small children), then keep an eye on that.
Overall, very dissatisfied with this rental. Paying $550 for two nights, I expect there to simply not be any mold. I've been in $55 roadside motel 8s far cleaner than this place. There was a previous review that states most of these same problems, the property manager replied by apologizing and stating that the issues have been addressed. They absolutely have not. I'll not be renting from a Vacasa managed property again here.
One positive thing I can say is the location is very good and the hot tub was close and pretty nice.

Well first time with VRBO and them VACASA mang. A little bit of a disconnect. Vacasa hold time was 20 min + brutal.
Were used to River Rin property's since 2011, first time off property, so the room was an old mish mosh of stuff, dirty, old warn out, stove dish washer TVs sooo old. verry out dated by 20 + yrs. Beds or trampolines were sooo bad n bouncing old spring, no mattress, if any. Please replace the beds and do a small remodel.
Im in construction and Real Estate and its time. Rentals are a 2 way st. You must put $ back in not just out. furniture was old and cramed in there. I wanted to re arange the room and move stuff around and get rid of stuff taking up space. Tiny small TVs, good luck with the 15 remotes. It needs a good clean out. Past renters stuff left behind all over. Mold in the showers, Tile needs cleaning and a recaulk Bad floor plan no seperate or conecting bathrooms, only in the Bedrooms. location wasen't to bad, behind the Goat, but listing made it sound like it was right behind the Base Mountain house, a long walk, not 4 min. like it said but we drove only 5 min. I give it a 1.5 to 2 star just because it was a roof over our head. Owners please redo it soon at a minimum clean it out and get new beds, but its time to do a remod or refresh. Bath fans all bad n rattling waking everyone up in the middle of the night. Cleaning service if any was very bad, silverware and plates not washed or cleaned we hoped sheets were cleaned, but who knows. Its was a room.

The only nice comment we can leave about the condo is its proximity to the ski lift. Therefore, only 1 star rating. Otherwise it would be 0 stars. This was a last minute booking with not many choices available. Instead of an old, well-loved condo like it looked in the pics, we walked into a dirty apartment. The first thing that was shocking were the filthy rugs as we walked in. Gross tiled floors in the kitchen with grout that has never been cleaned. The kitchen itself is a disorganized mess with multiple pots and pans strewn around different cabinets. The stove had food spilled over the burners. When we turned them on to cook, only two didn’t smell like something was burning and smoking. When we opened the cabinets, we found mugs that were not washed with coffee residue in them. The drawers were not any better. Candy wrappers trash and unwashed silverware with food stuck to it is what we found to our astonishment. The carpet in the apartment was not only gross, it was coming undone in places. Random pieces of furniture placed in the closets. This is to say nothing of the nonsensical furniture placement overall (couch placed over a door, some sort of unused cabinet blocking a corner of a bedroom). Dust round the fireplace. The window covering over the front door is damaged. The Keurig in the kitchen is missing a drip tray and a lid for water reservoir. Instead of updating the door lock to a combination pad lock, they have an outdated lockbox.

This condo was very convenient to the slopes (a short walk) and everything else we needed -ski rental, restaurants, etc.
It was fine for our purposes, but it could use an update. The beds were not especially comfortable, the TVs in the bedrooms didn't work, the gas cannister for the outdoor grill was empty, and the furniture and appliances are a bit basic and dated. The toilet paper and paper towels are better suited for prison than a vacation rental.
On the plus side, there was a Keurig and a wine fridge, and the rental company was very good about communicating so it was very easy to check in and out.

The condo is well-used and loved, and it had everything we needed. The location is good being walkable to the Mountain House area, which I find is much less crowded and more pleasant to get on the slopes than River Run. It's also close to the big bunny hill area by Mountain House, so good for kids with lessons.
The layout of the condo was not what was pictured - the couch was under the TV and the table where the couch is pictured, which was kind of an awkward setup, but also fine.
The 2 TVs in the master bedroom were both missing HDMI cables, so it was not possible to watch TV in that bedroom. The gas fireplace was also not working (pilot out?), so that was a bummer, but not a huge deal. We didn't bother to call about those because we weren't going to be there long enough, but maybe the manager would look into them.
Overall, we were happy with the stay.

The property was very clean, Close to the slopes, and fit 6 well. Pull out couch wasn't the comfy for 5th and 6th person. Worked well for our needs. Was slightly difficult finding hot tub and sauna
Overall good place

There was good and bad.
First the good. Location was close to Mountain House Area, not a long walk. Kitchen was decent, we cook in. Adequate utensils and pots and pans. TV was good. Fold out couch was better than average.
Now the bad. The biggest issue was the Hot tub was closed because of COVID. We were not informed at time of booking and having a hot tub is very important to us. Other locations have a booking system to deal with using the hot tubs. If we had been informed we would have booked somewhere else.
Other negatives with were, this condo isn't really set up for skiers. There is no bench or coat rack at the entrance. No place to hang your coats and remove your boots. They need to add a bench and coat rack at the entrance There were no hooks in the bathrooms to hang your towels. The sheets for the twin beds were stained and didn't fit correctly.. The pillows were flat and cheap. The wash clothes we like 20 grit sand paper. The propane tank for the grill was empty. We wanted to grill out some fish and steaks. The dishwasher was antiquated, the place to put the soap in was very difficult.. Thought I was going to break it. The key box was hard to open. All these things are somewhat minor and could easily be resolved if the owner would spend a little money for some updates.
Would we stay there again? Yes if some minor changes were made. The issues listed above could be resolved for around $1,000. And come up with a plan or method to open the hot tub.

The fireplace made such a loud sound, we couldn’t keep it on. The hot tub across the street was one of the reasons we selected this condo. It was closed the whole time we were there. The “600 ft” to the lift was down the parking lot, across a bridge, around the bus stop and another 500 ft to the Peru Lift. It was more like a half of a mile from ski lift to condo.
The ski rentals are right across the street, so that was really convenient.

With the overall accommodations and the last minute booking we got less than anticipated. The condo was clean But we all felt over charged for All the old well used amenities. The beds felt like sleeping on old wobbly cardboard boxes. The condo was to hold six people but the hot water heater did Not allow six people to shower in this 2 bedroom 2 bath occupancy, after long freezing days on the slops. So the rest of us(4), either went without immediate showers or you froze some more trying to get cleaned up. The fireplace was a joke. It heated up the condo so much you couldn’t enjoy the ambiance. The fan motor to the fireplace wasn’t even working the moment we checked in. So if you like being over charged for, a nice cozy condo for 6, this is your place! Dont expect any reimbursements for Any mishaps or misfortunes from Your stay at this condo. With all the many different fees they add on, when booking with VRBO, this place should have been more up to date. VRBO should be more aware of the accommodations they advertise to ensure Customers happiness and comfort. I couldn’t wait to get home to have a true hot shower/bath and sleep in a more comfortable bed. We will not be returning to this location. Good luck!

The location is amazing (and that is what you are paying for) but by the time they add all the fees we were paying quite a lot at the end of March on weekdays. We could've rented a house for this price. The place is very small and crammed. The beds were not comfortable. Definitely needs updating (looks like everything is from the 80's). It is supposed to be no dogs but our stuff was covered with dog hair and if you walked around with socks on, your socks were covered with dog hair. It is also supposed to be no smoking but we could all smell smoke as soon as we walked in the door. The bathroom fan sound like it is broken...it is extremely loud and makes very weird noises. We did enjoy the location as we could walk to the ski lift but the price is not worth it. We stay at a lot of places and this should be about half the cost. Also be aware of all the “extra fees”. They add up to quite a lot.

This condo is exactly what my son and I were looking for. Very convenient short walk across the Snake River bridge to the lifts at the Mountain House area. My son has multiple food allergies so we stocked up on groceries and cooked every meal there. The kitchen cookware, utensils, accessories, cleaning supplies were well-stocked and the small appliances all worked. The TV and home network worked fine which was a big deal for my son. The shower was fine and there were plenty of towels. The only downside is that it's a little on the small side and the countertops, cabinets, carpet, vanities etc. look a little dated but no big deal. The first night there I tried to use the outdoor BBQ grill to no avail, battery-powered ignitor clicking very slowly, but probably had to do with it being about 10 degrees outside.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cozy condo! We certainly enjoyed seeing all the wildlife! Went to Camp Hale (Leadville) to ride ATV's - lots of fun!! Green Mountain Reservoir to see wildlife that consisted of a herd of 40-50 elk and 3 fox! Traveled to Rocky Mountain National Park where we saw lots of elk and a bull moose. Went to Colorado Springs for a 2 hour horseback ride thru the Garden of the Gods - was very warm that day! Other sightings of wildlife: pronghorn antelope, beaver, marmots, mule deer, a huge porcupine and lots of hummingbirds! Lots of photos of good times.
