Beautiful roomy property with lovely large kitchen with additional living room. Enclosed garden was great! Location was very good, and was handy for many towns and tourist spots. Only issue was that a few of the beds sagged in the middle but there were others to choose from cause some of our party couldn’t make it.

A great place for a short family get together. We loved the large communal kitchen where we could all gather round the big table to eat and socialise. Whilst the bedrooms and toilets could not be described as being palacial they were totally adequate and met our needs. A private quiet place with a well kept large garden for the children and pet to play in and enjoy. Unfortunately it was too windy to sit out but when you have a lovely large kitchen you don't need to. We would all happily return to Hume Orchard Steading for another family celebration. Thank you. What a great weekend we had celebrating our dad's 80th birthday. The whole family around the kitchen table for hours, lots of chatting, fun and laughter all weekend. Beautiful place. A wee walk to Hume Castle, to top it the sun was shinning too. Dogs also had a ball..

Lovely house with a great kitchen with everything you could need including a huge farmhouse table in the centre so we could all sit around and eat or play board games/jigsaws in the eventing. The only downside was there was no where within walking distance to go for a meal or a drink locally so we you do have to drive - or just stay put and enjoy the house which was what we did!

Highly recommended.house is brilliant.bery spacious and its bigger than it looks on the website.there were 10 of us including children and there was more than enough space for everyone.night time is great viewing in summer time as its pitch black with basically no light pollution and no sound as it's quite rural.even during the day it's not really noisy either because its rural.to make it easier for you I advise to get a home delivery from a supermarket. It makes it alot easier and saves you going shopping for a lot of people.the house is lovely inside and out.i cant really fault it to be honest. We will definitely be back again.

House was fantastic, good layout we didn't feel that we were all on top of each other. Kitchen is fab with a great big table big enough for everyone. Location is great if you want your own privicy. The wee spring lambs in the field adjacent to the garden made the trip.
