Honest
Super nice staff. Facility was old, primitive, pretty much run-down. Room was dirty with woman’s hair on the floor all over the place, spider web in-between the window layers, and mosquitos flying like bombers throughout the night. (Apparently the staff were aware of the mosquitos when I mentioned to them.) (You don’t want to see it in photos.)

The staff was very friendly and willing to help with directions and luggage storage. Wifi was excellent for travelers and business people. The rooms were the opposite of modern but were fine. There was a lot of dust in the rooms, but it wasn't at all a deal breaker.

Modern Plaza was sufficient for our stay. Looking for a cheap place on a Saturday night where rates were quite high. Not too Modern at all actually but everything is in order. Hot shower, water machine for refilling your drinking water and hot water for tea etc. Pretty clean, few hairs around but fine enough. Short walk to the Gaoxiong station - metro and train which we needed at that time. A family mart close by to get noodles etc. Not much else though if you walk to the other side of the station (near the bus stop) there is a lot more food and cafes etc.

In need for a refurb
Facilities were quite aged and in desperate need for a refurbishment. Location was very convenient. Front desk staff was a bit cold but the old lady at the service desk on our room’s floor did her best to try and explain the facilities. Hot water was also not running well in some rooms. We had to run the water for a hour before One of our rooms could get some hot water (under the old lady’s instruction). Given the location of the hotel, I think it’s such a waste of a prime spot. Towels Weren’t that clean either . Just glad I only booked it for 1 out of 3 nights in Kaoshiung

Very cheap and comfortable !
It’s very cheap but still comfortable for a quick stay! 3-5 minute walk to the MRT because you have to cross the overpass. Convenient and good overall. One thing I wish they had was a shower curtain for the bathroom and a better brand of towels.

Not what's advertised
They couldn't find my paperwork. Opened the door to my room and was hit by terrible smell. Then I saw the Playboy bunny on the wall.Picture on website not representative. Maybe they have newer cleaner rooms but mine was not one of them. Not even going to say what I had a view of.I was given a coupon to go to McDonalds to get coffee and eggmuffin for breakfast. They gave this to me after I had been there 5 nights. Water was lukewarm at best. TV worked sort of....

Near to kaohsiung station but nit easy to find because it's located behind the station and has to walk across using the station linkage. The room is very OLD and the bed is as hard as floor. Thanks God i only stay there for 1 night.

Find some place nicer
This hotel is very old and not modern. The staff are nice, but in the rooms you can clearly hear the street noise and people talking in the hallway. The beds are very hard. Pay a little more and find a better place. Will not recommend.

This hotel is quite old but the rooms are clean. Not many guests. The location is convenient, anyway, you can not expect too much from such a budget hotel.

Good value, good location!
Visited Kaohsiung as part of a group of students from the US, spending a week in Taiwan before studying abroad in mainland China. We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the central train station and its low price, and there's a convenient 7-11 and other shops very close for all your needs. The location is excellent, and the rooms were very reasonable for the low price, clean and surprisingly spacious, but the hotel is very much a "love hotel" style establishment. As college students, this was more an amusement than anything for us, but if you are visiting here for business or with family or otherwise in a situation where the appearance of the hotel you are in is more important this may be a factor to consider. The desk staff speaks good English and was very courteous and helpful, and were more than accommodating when we split

Don't be afraid to go here but don't expect much
Decided to stay here throwing caution to the wind as the other reviews were not so good, but it was the cheaper hotel in the area and I had to stay for a few weeks. It turns out the hotel is situated very conveniently near Kaohsiung station which is a hub for doing things in the south. It is a really old hotel but it was clearly at one point a super nice place, it is just in need of quite a bit of renovation. I stayed in a strange room had a mirror above the bed! But in any case the hotel staff were all really kind. I speak Chinese and it is apparent that if I didn't know mandarin, I would've had a more uncomfortable stay I think. I was able to order fresh breakfast every day when the breakfast buffet wasn't available and that was really nice. The room was also spotless, cleaned when I wanted it to be and they gave fresh toiletries every time. Don't expect a super nice hotel, expect a convenient, safe, somewhat rundown hostel type place.

The hotel is overpriced. Decor is tacky and ageing. Bedding is clean. TV only has basic channels - no cable. Area is centrally located - right behind Kaohsiung station. Water took forever to heat for a shower. WiFi works well.

Excellent service
THese folks could not have done enough for me. The hotel was not new or clean, but the service made up for a lot. They called taxis for where ever I wanted to go, told me best way to visit sites, restaurants... genually concerned with the comfort of my stay.

No Breakfast in Chinese New Year
I booked this room for 3 nights with breakfast but hotel didn't provide any breakfast with excuses of Chinese New Year. In fact my last day is 5 Feb 2014 which was not a public holiday in TW and the Chinese New Year holiday was over.

カビのにおいが強烈で、一般的な感覚の日本人にはお薦めできない。また、カギがカードキーではなく、昔ながらのジャラジャラする普通のカギでビックリした。子供部屋のカギに毛が生えたレベル。従業員は親切で、その点はホッとした。とにかく安く泊まりたい人向けの宿。

說實話雖然價格勉強低，但這種低價也不想再住第二晚。 整棟旅館不管是外觀還是內裝，只能用破舊來形容。 首先是電梯，除了樓層是可以按的，開關門的按鍵根本是裝飾。 二、門把是舊式的喇叭鎖，頂多就是在門後多了一個門鍊鎖。為了防止晚上有人進來，還特別把行李當門擋。 三、浴室的門是壞的，根本不能關； 四、電冰箱也是壞的，所以直接把插頭拔掉； 五、房裡的窗打不開，而打不開的原因是根本沒有安全防護，而外面一眼就是破舊的建築； 總而言之，除了價錢稍稍便宜外，沒有任何一個優點可以讓我稱讚的，可謂有始以來住過最差的旅館。
