We stayed at CC for 2 nights, at the tail end of our trip to Hawaii. We wanted to spend some time on the north/east side of the island and are so glad that we did. We actually ran into Greg when we first got there, and he let us in, gave us a tour and took us through what was around the neighbourhood. What a guy.
The unit is attached to his home where he lives with his family. His office is attached to one side of the rental unit but other than hearing some voices in the mornings, it was really quiet. It is in a more residential area and you'll need to drive a bit to get to where you're going, but after staying at a resort hotel in Lahaina, I'll take a rental like this any day. The unit has been nicely updated and we have zero complaints about the set-up. Wine opener (albeit a little sticky) was on point, inspired some Christmas gift ideas.
We spent the 1.5 days we were there beaching (Lanikai) and hiking (Pill Box, drove over to Koko, too chicken to do Stairway), shopped at the Foodland that was 15 min away, spent the evenings eating on the little patio outside and watching movies (great channel selection when you're too pooped to do anything else). There are also a pair of lazboy recliners that will make your trip. Air conditioners were also a god-send, and the house is solar-powered. Definitely recommend for couples or families looking for a low-key, low-maintenance stay, that plan on doing a lot of activities during the day but want to come back to a comfortable place to stay at night.
