"The rate is a little higher than I’d expect for this basic quality of a property, but there are limited options in the area. If you want to see the redwoods or just in the area, it’s a clean quiet place to crash. The staff is all very friendly and they have a decent breakfast. The hot tub was out of commission while I was here."

Avenue of the Giants River View Home (#1)
10/10 Excellent
"This house was a fantastic home base for us. Comfortable beds, clean, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Showers had excellent water pressure and host thought of everything one may need. The view is amazing, quiet location at the top of a hill. Would definitely recommend. "
"This is a beautiful property near the Avenue of the Giants. The king plus bunk bed room was enormous.
The style is like an early 1900's mansion/castle, the room decor matched, but it didn't feel at all run down or aged. The bed was very comfortable. It had a bunk bed in a separate room for my two kids.
The grounds are just as amazing as the hotel. You can walk around and check out the river. We are a great breakfast on the huge back patio. Overall it was a magical last minute find during our road trip."
"Great place for a family gathering. There was something for everyone plus more! Easy access from the freeway. Both the kitchen and living room were great. Very spacious. I loved the pool the best. Always a pleasure having my morning coffee out there while everyone is still asleep. My son and girlfriend utilized the space for a tent. Justin answered all questions before and after very quickly. Just a great place and everyone loved it! I’ll be back."
"This is a great value for the price. It's a, older, homey little resort with a great pool and super-friendly staff. Very laid back with pets allowed.
They have fire pits available and we stayed in one of the hotel rooms where we were able to have a fire right out the back patio from our room.
Families were playing on the lawn and the kids were perfectly safe to run around well into dark, swim in the pool, and have fun without worry of cars or strangers.
I would definitley come back!"
"A gem in the midst file of Redwoods. We were not expecting the level of detail in making the room comfortable for tbd guest. The whole place is well thought ou"
The Hobbit House: Avenue of The Giants Adventure! Hot Tub/ Fire Pit/ 5BDR/ King
10/10 Excellent
"An absolutely lovely property with very nice hosts. Our group of ten took turns cooking with the impressive kitchen, and after having tried almost every appliance we can confidently say they all worked excellently and are clearly well maintained. The road up to the house can be a little tricky, and I would recommend vehicles that can manage steep inclines and have a bit of clearance.I would have appreciated a more detailed inventory of available cookware and dishes, as we ended up bringing redundant pans and bowls which went unused. The hosts themselves were excellent, extremely responsive to a few minor concerns and they proactively gave us a list of local activities to supplement our plans. The few we did incorporate into our schedule ended up being lots of fun and overall it was a very positive experience. As for the rest of the house, it is just as lovely as the photos imply. What we felt was undersold was how lovely the views turned out to be."
