Not Too Impressed
Booked it as it’s rated 4Stars, but it’s sub par as expected. Room looks dated and worn already. No soap bar nor hand towel in the bathroom upon check in. Had to call housekeeping to bring that. Windows are small and split by white walls in the middle ( weird design). Breakfast buffet is okay but some foods are cold. Overall not too impressed and won’t stay again.

The Akmani was a good compromise between location, size of room and value for money. We had a superior double on the 7th floor. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning was excellent. TV channels were rather poor (no football!). The buffet breakfast was also varied - Indonesian, Western including Eggs station - with good coffee. Although the service on the whole was good, the reason I didn't give a 5* star was because the bathroom had a slight smell which wasn't resolved during our stay. There was also rather loud drilling at the rooftop terrace after 8 am (part of ongoing renovation) so if you want to sleep-in, opt for a room in the lower floors.

The Akmani is conveniently situated. They are renovating and its noisy all day until late, internet works, but is slow and intermittent. Breakfast is pretty poor. I feel its overpriced for what you get. Would I stay there again? … yes, but I would look at other hotels first.

Standard Has Dropped
The standard of the hotel has dropped. Particularly on the cleaniness, compare to my previous stays. The towel is dark and not very clean look. The bathroom also averagely maintained. The rubbish was swept behind the door of the restaurant entrance without tidy up.

my second stay
This is my second stay in this hotel after few years and unfortunatelly for them it was a very unhappy stay!! the hotel is under rennovation and you have to walk in from the car park under the hotel, at my check in outside of my room there was an used plate with some left food on it and after 2 nights the plate still there till we complain about it, in 3 nights have to go down to the lobby 4 times because some problems with my door card, both lift have daily problems and one day we have to wait at the 6 floors for 20 minutes for some one pick up us from the lobby, another day we have to use the service lift that smell rabbish, we booked 2 rooms that should be the same size but at the end of my stay find out that one room big the the other (im not sure but I think that they give to us one grand deluxe and one deluxe), the brekfast was ok (but just ok no more), dust and dirty every where...look like no mangment at all and for sure the hotel need a big impruvment and rennovation.

Some very rude staff there ,not very polite , Also our room phone was not working ,so had to go to looby to ask to make a local phone call to book a restaurant ,& then they charged us $5,also we got our laundry done , only few things, said it would be back at 7pm,& did not turn up until 11:30pm !& they charged us for express!!! Which is only 4 or 6 hours ,& it would of been cheaper to buy 4 new tshirts & a pair of jeans,& the man that dropped of our Laundry argued with me about this at 11:30pm & said ,yes I'm bad & walked of !!!!

My Overall stay was not satisfactory. There was no hot water for 2 days, the food was not up to standard and sometimes too salty. The aircond in the room wasn't cold. The only 2 thing i liked was the comfortable bed and location of this hotel.

None of the staff got it right as to when the breakfast hours were for weekend. Four hotel staff gave me four different timings. I suffered the consequence of missing out on breakfast eventually. The rooms are not that clean. Dust are everywhere in the room and stains on bed-sheets are aplenty.
