The place was dirty. The toilet didn’t work. They weren’t expecting us so after a long journey being kept waiting was frustrating.

Simple, Value for money, Great Location and Staff
Stayed here on an off for a total of around 10 days. Very friendly staff, very simple but very clean rooms. Room size was more than adequate as a solo traveller with desk and bar fridge. If you want luxury then this may not be the place for you, however if you have had enough of hostels and want a room to yourself at a great price i cannot recommend this place highly enough. *One note- there is no elevator, so if you have trouble with stairs this accommodation may not be suitable. If or when i return to Ho Chi Minh i will definitely be returning to Son Tung. Beats the hell out of a hostel! Thank you to all the friendly staff.

Small hotel but good value
I am happy with my stay. The location was very good and so was the staff. There is a mini bar, ac, kettle and cable channels. Good value for money.

well located with easy access from airport by bus (get off at tran hung dao or rap hung dao stops, cross the street, walk down de tham road about 100m and voila! Hotel is small, not posh looking, but for the price, it is very worth it. Room is clean and most important, the aircon works, no funny smells or mozzies. Windows both ends (you know when its morning lol) the beds are free of bugs, comfortable (I booked single person but room can actually sleep three with one queen bed which i used for my luggage and clothing as the wardrobe was a bit creaky while i slept on the twin bed). Bathroom does not have a shower screen but the shower is strong and heater works well, wc and washbasins are new looking and clean, no ugly stains etc, plus the airy bathroom window ensures that the bathroom dries rapidly. Staff are generally helpful and you can get your local phone sim card at the phone shop occupying the hotel annexe just next to reception. Food and drinks very convenient plus its a short walk to backpackers pub area with all the nightlife and restaurants pubs. transport is easy, walk back to bus stops at tran hung dao or rap hung dao along the tran hung dao road and you can get buses to anywhere you want but i walked most times as its very near to ben thanh market etc. Only issues, no elevator (ok for me) be careful of the traffic, and if you are a late sleeper, the roosters crowing and neighbourhood women chattering as they get ready for the day will wake you up at 5am...

Overall good. There is a rooster living in the building beside so you need ear plug. Hot shower, a/c + fan, tv. Close to the backpackers street (bars), restaurants and coffee shop. There is an outside BBQ pork chops restaurant in front of the hotel to your left for 40,000d which is very good and also a little underground coffee shop right beside and the lady is lovely!

Nice hotel near backpackers street and local marke
Arriving after 11:00 p.m., the gate was closed. After knocking, staff comes here, and said there is bell the side of gate. However, I didn't know that.

Great value for money! The hotel is a short walking distance to the backpackers area, but far enough so you don't get disturbed by the constant loud music. We got a spacious room with a double bed and a single bed. The aircon and water heater worked just fine. There's a power cut (happens quite often in HCMC) the last morning we're there and we couldn't get accessed to the internet. The husband and wife owners of the hotel were nice enough to help us order a Grab taxi to the airport from their mobile phone. Thanks a lot!

Perfect stay in Saigon
The hotel is located in the nice area near lots of eateries and place for tourist like Pham Ngu Lao. There're a lot of famous restaurants nearby. It is also walkable to attractions like Benh thanh market or Saigon square. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The room is clean and perfect for such a price we got. I will recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay
Friendly staff and a very nice large room for the price with fridge and very good wifi also. There are only two rooms per floor and so if you struggle with stairs, it might be hard as there is no lift but I'm fine with stairs so was perfectly happy and it well worth the climb! Good location, just South of the main backpacking area but literally a few mins walk so its still close but very quiet.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We got fresh towels and toilettes. At night you have to ring a bell to get in as you dont get a seperate key to the main entrance. It wasn't a problem for us as we were quickly let in and we felt really safe in the hotel (also motorcycles were locked in and under supervision). Overall, for us pleace got everything we needed and was close to the Ben Thanh market.

room for the day
just rented a room for the day to have a base to store cases & have a quick shower if needed. Perfect for our needs other than having to carry cases up 2 flights of stairs. room was small but clean & a good sized bed. bathroom was very small with an open shower beside the toilet but for the price we paid was ok.

The staff were welcoming, it's good for a budget hotel, only thing it lacks was they don't have lift and the wooden cabinet bit old. But the room was very clean, also the have LCD TV with English channels as well. But on 2nd floor the wifi signal is weak.

Super nice people. My boyfriend lost his passport in a taxi and the person went out of her way to help us write a police report. The food nearby is affordable and it's walking distance to Ben than market. Overall I would stay again.

A Place to Sleep
We were in Saigon for one night and this place did the trick for a place to crash after a long day of travel. The bed was a bit hard, and the room/bathroom weren't in fabulous, updated condition, but we didn't really have any complaints! And the staff were kind and understood enough English to help us get around :)

It was a strange place - some things were much better than expected, and some things were really annoying. Everytime you leave your room, and walk pastthe reception, they turn the main power switch off (the main switch is at the reception), and everytime you come back, you have no power in your room, and can walk back down to the reception to ask them for power. There were also good things... We did sent 20 documents to the reception to getthem printed, and short after they knocked on your door, it was printed and no charge! We renteda bike for a day, only 100.000 (cheaper than the surrounding tourshops) and we got even raincover with it. (Which was usefull that day!) Only one person in the reception speaks english... They did our laundry too, for a cheap price. 24 bours lter, when it was supposed to be finished, she came up to our room, with a bag full of wet clothes and a lot of hangers - then she started to hang our clothes up on hangers everywhere in our room??? She turned fan and aircon on, so it could dry quicker? What happended here??? When we left an hour later, i asked them NOT to turn the power of our room off, because then our clothes would me er dry, and they didn't!!

Conveniently-located,well-run, cheap, small hotel
The hotel staff are very kind and helpful. They keep the rooms spotless. The rooms have all the amenities one really needs, from fans to AC to hot water to a nice bed to furniture to wifi. They seem to be on a lookout for you too. The only missing item is a in-room safe. Very pleased by the value.

良いホテルだと思います
デタム通りで安く宿泊できてよかったです。周辺にはたくさん屋台があり食べ比べできます。部屋の掃除を言ってもやってくれない時があります（外出時カギを預けても）。私としてはあまり部屋に入ってほしくないので2日に1回でいいのですが、さすがに2日連続で掃除してくれなかった時には文句を言いましたがスタッフがいないとのことで翌日に掃除してもらいました。不満もありましたが総合的にはいいホテルだと思います。

１０３号室だから1階かとおもったら3階だった｡スタッフはいい人達だったが、ホテルのプロではなかった。英語がほとんど通じない。入ったときには部屋にトイレットペーパーがなかった。部屋の掃除やベッドメイキングは出かけるときに鍵を預けた時だけだった｡最後の日にはアメニティーが何もなかった。ごみ箱がバスルームに一つだけだったので不便だった。無料の水は提供されない。早朝からニワトリがうるさい。安いのでこんなものかと思うが、次は別の安ホテルを探します。

A deux rues du quartier routard mais au calme
Situé à deux rues de Bui Vien, le quartier routard, vous dormirez cependant au calme. Hotel au confort basique mais les prix pratiqués sont un peu moins élevés que la moyenne pour HCMV. l'accueil est quelconque mais la chambre est grande, il y a la clim et un frigo ! On recommande'pour 2-3 nuits !

アットホームな居心地が良いホテルです。
最近、デタム周辺はタイのカオサン化していて欧米人が多く夜中まで賑やかだけれども、この辺りは地元民のエリアで、朝から市場がひらき、鶏の鳴き声もよく聞こえ、またいろいろな食堂がある庶民的な地域で、ホテルもアットホームで居心地も良くよく利用します。

スタッフはあまり英語が通じませんが、笑顔で親切。ペットボトルの水、歯ブラシや石鹸のアメニティとバスタオル、寝具などは毎日取り変えてくれる。ドライヤーはない。エアコンと扇風機はしっかり動いた。周辺はローカルな雰囲気で観光客はあまりいない。すぐ近くのフォー屋台が美味しかった。ベンタイン市場へは徒歩10分程度。観光客の多いストリートへも5分ほどと、すぐなのでアクセスはいいと思う。3階の部屋だったが、床に小さな蟻の群れがいたり、いなくなってたり。本当に小さかったのであまり気にしなかったが、苦手な人はやめたほうがいいかな？でもそのくらいで無理な人はベトナム楽しめないような気もするけど…。
