Henrietta, The Coach House, Cadgwith

Set in 2 acres just off the SW Coast Path in idyllic traditional fishing cove Cadgwith on the Lizard Peninsula. Short walk to beach, pub & cafe in unspoilt cornish fishing cove. Perfect for couples.
The carriage was brought to Cadgwith in the 1920s by an employee of Great Western to provide holiday accommodation for their family, and is believed to have been built in 1874.
Henrietta comprises of 1 double bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom with a bath. She sits beside a small stream, with a beautiful quiet streamside private garden. Guests are also welcome to make use of the 2 acres of garden, with free range ducks, chickens and and 3 mad pygmy goats! There is also another carriage, 2 further lets and owners accommodation on the site, which all provide private gardens with outdoor seating, bbq etc.

Our railway carriage was set in a secluded part of a two acre setting, bordered by a wood and well tended gardens. The carriage itself provided the double bedroom and compact but well appointed kitchen, with an extension providing a spacious lounge, storage and bathroom. It was perfect for the two of us with a short walk to a lovely pub/restaurant and as a base to explore the beautiful surroundings. The owners were helpful and friendly.

Charming and peaceful retreat
Henrietta is lovely and comfortable with everything you would need for a relaxing break. The lounge has large windows looking into the woods with a small stream trickling by and a hedge screened private garden. Its quirky without compromising on comfort. The site is very good and walking distance to the cove, which has a great pub with daily fish specials from the local boats. Very tasty. We would stay here again.

We love staying here! Henrietta is lovely, cosy and well equipped for her size. A welcoming cream tea is provided as a welcome from the host Paula. Dogs are welcome too. Easy access to the coast path - just under 5 miles to Lizard point. Will definitely be visiting again.

Secret access to the SW Coastal Path.
What can I say, over a stream, into the woods and straight out West to the Devils Frying Pan onto the Lizard and Kynance Cove or East through Cadgwith towards Poltesco and Kennack Sands. Henrietta is perfectly located. I had a really enjoyable, peaceful, few days with plenty of wakling as planned. Thank you Paula and Paul.

Situated in close to and up the hill from the charming harbour village of Cadgwith, this accommodation is tucked away in a beautiful corner of The Lizard. Paula, our host, was lovely and the facilities are first-rate. Recommended to visit - don't forget to say hello to the goats!

Lovely little Henrietta
We had such a wonderful 2 weeks staying in Henrietta, the place was amazing. From the cream tea on arrival to the idyllic setting and location. Great place for exploring South Cornwall. The weather wasn't the best the first week but the second week the sun shone and was beautiful, we certainly had the best time. We would highly recommend to everyone. The only down side was that we missed a shower (but only our own personal choice) and also a bit tight getting in and out of the bed, we had to move it to one side... (maybe we should lay off the cream teas!!) but overall a fantastic place in a jewel of a county. We loved it... Thank you Paul and Paula xx

Wonderful carriage house!
A beautiful carriage house with a private garden and a little stream nearby. It is very cosy and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural setting. The host, Paula, is very welcoming and makes sure that you have everything you need. Additionally, the location is great as it is easily accessible by car to most destinations throughout Cornwall. I highly recommend it.

An absolute delight!
We stayed for two nights in lovely Henrietta. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The carriage is decorated so perfectly, making the most of the space. Sat looking out at the woodland just added to the charm, listening to nothing but birds and the stream. We wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

My carriage awaits, "Henrietta".
Stay was amazing, less than 60 seconds walk from coast path & a few minutes walk to the local pub for evening meal's'. Unique and very cosy accomodation overlooking a private woodland
We came across Henrietta while searching for somewhere out of the ordinary to stay for a short break away before Christmas. We were not disappointed! Everything was just as we hoped for - very comfortable, private and ideally located for exploring this corner of Cornwall. Also, a big thank you to Paula for making our arrival so welcoming with a cream tea prepared in the the warm and festively decorated lounge. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Perfect quiet Christmas
We had a lovely stay in Henrietta. Fully equipped with everything needed for a cosy Christmas. The mince pies & prosecco on arrival was a lovely thought. Christmas eve in the Inn was a treat with Carol singing. A few shirt walks along the coast path were wonderful with stunning views. Paula ensured that we had everything we needed and left us to it which was perfect. Hope to return soon.
