This should not be considered a Tapestry property. It is very poorly maintained, the rooms are extremely dirty and in disrepair. The area is rundown and surrounded by vacant commercial spaces.I could not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away. (The staff is fine. but they’re not what you would expect with a tapestry establishment, etc….)
The windows need to be replaced. The blowing rain poured in. I woke up to pools of water in my floor. Unsafe!!!
And at 3 am I was awaken by an altercation I the hallway. The police were called.

This hotel was noisy, someone came to my room the second night, front desk checked them into my room because they thought I checked out and I called them. They say they made a mistake. Smh that was crazy. Bathroom wasnt cleaned properly. Bedding was lumpy. Refrigerator was not cooling, tv remote wasn’t working.

The staff was very friendly! However, the room was dirty with dirt on the bathroom floor and "stains" on the chair. There were people smoking in the room next to ours and it was coming into our room.

I was charge twice for my stay and the door to the room was broke.
Hotel is supposed to be smoke free, but it wreaked of smoke. The first room I was given was not in accordance with my reservation only had a king I reserved 2 queens. Second room I was given was not clean, hair was on the floor of the bathroom and the shower. Grateful I brought my own cleaning supplies. Disappointed in this Hilton option.
I didn’t get the “unsafe feeling” that some people mentioned in reviews. The staff were super polite and helpful. The room was updated with new appliances and furniture but the cleaning was subpar. There was food left on the bathroom floor. The a/c unit didn’t work properly. All that said, it was an average hotel overall. Stunning location too. I went in with extremely low expectations because of all the negative reviews, so I was satisfied with the average stay. Would just love the room to be cleaner.
Property was quite dirty. Lobby area was cluttered and there were stains on a couple of the couches. Bathroom floor had numerous dust bunnies. Staff were nice but was clear their training was subpar. They did their best to try and get things done but it took longer and they had no support. Check ins were quite lengthy with a line as a result.
They would not give me a early check in because they said the room wasn't prepared. When i checked in at 4 my room was poorly takem care of… stains in the carpet, mismatch lights in the lamps, the mirror in the bathroom was leaning, the shower caddy had peeling paint. The remote for the tv had grease stains all over it. The windows had bird poop and the shower its hadnt been cleaned properly because the water didnt flow through all the holes on the shower head.
Friendly, secluded, romantic getaway. The staff was friendly. The building was nice. The room was cozy and comfortable. Nothing bad to say we had a great time. Thank you.
The hotel itself is very comfortable, has a pool, fitness room, bar and a restaurant. Its right on the water along the James River with the NASA attraction right next door. Down town Hampton is walking distance with plenty of dining options and shopping. The staff is very friendly and professional. The real bonus is a brewery right outside the front door.
There was a slight mix up with our room but Mrs Michele (Manager) went above and beyond to make it up to us. We recommend a stay at this grand hotel. The views of the sunrise were amazing!

I have booked this hotel more than 6 times last year and my family members have booked more times than I have and I feel that we should be receiving a better rate when we book.
