Property was delightful. Suitably historic and authentic. Only issue was that while we received confirmation of our booking we didn’t receive any details of address and check in procedures which meant that we had to disturb the hosts, who were most accommodating.

great little spot
this was a great little cottage that was really handy to the Greytown shops. The 'Top Pub' is literally a couple of doors down the road and had a great little menu for an easy tea. Lovely spot

Fabulous stay!
Thoroughly recommend to all travellers to stay at Shy Cottage. Streamlined checkin, quaint and well equipped cottage within walking distance to town. Super comfy bed with the most scrumptious linen. Loved my stay, wish it had been longer! Thanks so much !

What a beautiful little cottage ! So close to the shops and restaurants in Greytown and centrally located to all that the Wairarapa has to offer. Shy cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you would expect. Perfect !

A lovely comfortable, clean and very well equipped cottage. Set in a quiet garden and just a short walk to the shops and cafes. Very welcoming hosts. Just wished we we’re staying more than one night!

Shy Cottage a treat
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shy Cottage - just perfect for our stay in Greytown. Lovely space especially with the fire to keep the rooms warm. It was a peaceful spot and so close to the town centre. Sandie was very helpful and great communication. We hope to stay again!

Lovely stay
The cottage was exceptionally clean and the renovations to make it more modern had been done really well. Loved the outdoor spa bath! Only downside was the duvet was too thick for a hot night and we couldn't find anything lighter. Other than that we loved it.

Beautiful little cottage
Wow what a fantastic little cottage, close to town, very well appointed.Cosy and warm with a choice of the enclosed fire box or the heatpump. Everything you need and the bed is super comfortable. Highly recommended.

Perfect Location

It's the little things

Garden studio close to main shops
Effortless set up and info to get into property. Nicely set up for 2 people. Large bathroom, king bed very comfortable. Swing out tv nice touch so we could lounge on bed, watching rain on our courtyard garden or straight on to TV (no cricked necks unlike some TV set ups).

Beautiful relaxing stay
We loved staying here - it has such a beautiful garden to look out over from the studio and the interior is lovely. Great kitchen, great bathroom, really nice toiletries, loved the outdoor bath. Only a few minutes walk to the village shops and restaurants.

Lovely Shy Studio
This is a lovely little place - actually bigger than we expected - quiet, well-equipped, with some thoughtful extra touches and a very comfortable bed. We sadly had to cut our stay short, but would have happily stayed another night and will again, if we are back in Greytown.

Hidden Gem
Shy Studio is beautifully appointed with all the little extras provided to add that touch of luxury. Very tastefully decorated in keeping with the era and situated very close to main shopping etc. Sandy and Ian have done a great job here and we could happily have stayed longer.

One of the best places we have stayed at. The hosts provided a range of extra luxury touches in the bathroom and kitchen that made for a special experience. The studio has: A very functional kitchen; luxury bed and bedding; quality furnishings and great wifi. Love;y outdoor bath. Definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous Greytown
We had a lovely stay: the studio had everything we needed, and was wonderfully close to the centre of Greytown, but still managed to feel secluded and quiet. We had a wonderful four nights here.

We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Comfortable, clean and a great location. We had a lovely garden view from the unit and a sunny deck with chairs and table to sit outside in the sun in the morning. It was a short walk to everything we needed in Greytown. Perfect Studio in Greytown
Studio is very well presented with really comfotable big bed, great shower with plenty of hot water, nice towels and soaps and shampoos. Kitchen is adequate and as a bonus does have a Nespresso machine. Close to town and a pub close by. Good commuincation, thanks you Sandie and Ian

Home away from home
Beautiful and quiet setting. Studio delightful and thoughtfully set up. The large bed was so comfortable and the shower was great. Would definitely come again and highly recommend to all couples out there.

Great weekend getaway
A lovely cottage out the back of the owners home. Very well equipped. Lovely shower and comfortable bed! Very cosy with the heat pump on. Super close to town and so easy to deal with. Very efficient at responding too. We will definitely be back. Thanks again!
