The lack of host contact is poor. Kept awake for two hours by someone who was drunk falling on the floor twice and banging around.

A very warm and friendly welcome and personal service from the managers of a lovely, scenic and well-apportioned B & B. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a stand-alone bath and a large shower room. The breakfast was excellent, and the experience was fantastic. Definitely recommended!

Lovely stay
The room was very comfortable and nice, but there were a lot of insects inside. A few choices of coffee and tea, but no English tea available! Self-check-in and check-out very handy. Gardens were lovely, but maze was a bit neglected. Very nice breakfast and staff.

Very comfortable and stylish room with wonderful long views out to the sea. Beautiful gardens to stroll in. Generous, well-cooked breakfast with plenty of options, including big pots of coffee and tea. Would love to stay there again and we definitely will!

It is a beautiful quiet old house with family history, set in very special grounds which you can explore at your leisure, and is in an attractive part of Kent. My room was clean and had character, the bed very comfortable and I liked the solid antique furniture. Staff are available and helpful.

The rooms have character and are very comfortable and clean. We had lovely garden views and a fan was provided which was an unexpected bonus given the hot weather.

Simply Magical!
Thrilled! What Enchanting grounds and garden and comfy rooms to boot! It's not everyday to have an ancient yew tree and fellow topiary yews as a sleeping companions outside your bedroom window and view to Wake up to! Alice in Alice and wonder land would have felt very much at home! Lovely trees growing to their full natural gestures and expression and an kaleidoscope of others newly planted. Thank you.

Superb break.
A 2 day break in the Kent countryside, in a wonderful setting and very nice room in an old country house, with beautiful gardens. Lovely accommodating staff with superb breakfast. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Stayed for 1 night. There are only 5 B&B rooms as part of what was was originally a large country house. Be sure to give yourself time to explore the beautiful gardens (now open to the public), but free for guests. Our room (#1) was extremely comfortable and spacious with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was a highlight with excellent choices of high qualiity food presented by friendly staff (thank-you Amy). There are a couple of pubs within walking distance in addition to myriad restaurants closeby by car in Faversham and Canterbury The Quay Restaurant in the former is highly recommended.

The property offered exactly what an excellent bed and breakfast should: very comfy bed, fantastic shower, wonderful breakfast and lovely staff. The cherry on top was the beautiful gardens it was set it.

Beautiful grounds to explore. Really peaceful setting so perfect for a weekend away. Good location if you want to drive over to Whitstable or other nearby towns. Comfy bed meant we got a wonderful nights sleep. Good breakfasts and proper coffee in the rooms which was a nice touch. COVID precautions in place meant we felt as safe as possible. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Instantly one of me favourite places!
Everything about this stay was excellent! What a super place, and the gardens are such a treat. The room was wonderfully comfortable (nice and quiet) and everyone was very welcoming. Breakfast was scrummy - proper butter! real jam! strong hot coffee! Absolutely terrific.

Very happy with staying at this cosy lovely hotel. The building is classic but the bathroom is very modern and spotlessly clean. Room is bigger than I thought and charming overlooking the beautiful garden. What I really like is people working there. Their service is such a personal touch.

Beautiful house and gardens. Nicely presented room with a reasonable tea tray and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Went for a walk around the gardens which is well worth the effort and the breakfast was lovely. The team of staff on site were all lovely.

Amazing views. Super clean. Very beautiful building and very thoughtful attention to detail ie. gluten free macaroons in the room and gluten and dairy free options for breakfast. Great welcome message on text with instructions too. Very happy stay and we will be returning for sure.

Peaceful and luxe
We only booked 1 night but we would’ve stayed a week if possible, it was relaxing and extremely peaceful and beautiful grounds...we saw owls, horses, a maze, beautiful trees and more.The bathroom was big and the toiletries smelled amazing. The bed was big and I loved the view. Highly recommended !

So peaceful, a real quiet get away from it! Had to ask for fresh toiletries as they had not been replenished. This was done quickly and with an apology so not a big problem.

WOW what a beautiful place, wished we could have stayed longer than 1 night. Lovely grounds & gardens. A small B & B with Tea room attached in a beautiful Edwardian terraced gardens. My grandson loved running around the Maze garden. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice from cereals, fruit, cheeses, and croissants and of course a cooked breakfast of your choice including a vegetarian breakfast. Will certainly be going back.

Stunning views
Lovely rooms with amazing views of the gardens. I visited in winter but I imagine that this B&B is absolutely stunning during the spring and summer when the gardens are in full bloom. Even with the cold weather we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider coming back.
