This is the 2nd year that a group of old friends stayed at this property on a golf trip. Worked out great for us and the secluded nature of the property is a bonus.

Quiet and peaceful

Above and Beyond Expectations!

Semi-Annual women’s weekend get together The farm experience of the Highland cows, chickens, land, and the knowledge of our host Brooke and her family was truly admirable and inspiring. The VRBO accommodation was beyond expectations with perfect decor, original art (we bought an amazing painting), equipped more than we have experienced, comfortable beds, and cozy warm patios. Highly recommended!

Great property and Location

Really great place for holiday with family do the layout of the house. Private from the hosts as property is surrounded with forest. The location is really good for visiting Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake, Crimson Lake and many others.

Great little Getaway

House was amazing - as listed. We struggled a bit with getting the TV going - but we also aren't very great with the streaming services but we did get it going! The water is advised as not "drinking" water but we still cooked and cleaned with it. There is a water cooler provided with additional water if you ask. We filled water bottles and juice jugs nearly daily and were fine! Beds were super comfy and house had lots of seating. The light above the kitchen table is fairly poor for building puzzles / playing cards in the evening but we brought out extra lamps from the bedroom and made it work. Overall a great house, easy to communicate with hosts and we had a fabulous time!

Great Getaway Home

We spent the week with our four kids and friends with their teenager. It was a great house for the 9 of us, peaceful and private country setting, within 30 mins of beaches and other activities we wanted to do for the week and a relaxing atmosphere to hang out during the evenings. Host was responsive when we messaged about running out of propane and had it replaced by the time we got back from our daytime excursion. The only things we would recommend is maintenance on the play structure and the arm chair in the living room seems to be nearing its end of life - creaky and a little unstable. Otherwise the house was fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to come here again!

Nice home for large group

We stayed 3 days for a friends reunion and the house was the perfect place to reconnect. The house was clean and quiet. The host was wonderful and provided all we required. We really enjoyed our stay.

Decent Stay

Overall we had a nice stay but there were definitely some shortcomings. The directions missed a road that was needed to find the property. Luckily the owner answered when I called and helped us find the place. The property needs a bit of maintenance. The chairs are worn out/broken, the stove hood fan doesn’t work properly and sounds like it is trying to explode. The toilet paper holder was missing in the washroom. The playground was in very poor repair, with a broken slide, another slide that was dangerously steep, and no protective surfacing under any of it. The towels were rough and appeared not very clean. The bbq was too dirty to actually use. When we tried there was so much smoke from all the grease built up we couldn’t use it. We did love the little fire table area on the front porch and the area is lovely. We had a great stay but I wish there was a bit more time spent on improving the property.

One of our favourite stays!

The whole family loved this one so much. It was deafeningly quiet, with tall trees and the most relaxing environment. The hosts were very kind and though we did not get a chance to visit the farm, we will be back. Everyone had their own room which was huge. The only negative I can say were the spiders which is truly to be expected in the middle of the woods. Highly recommend this property!!

Retreat Weekend

It was very nice. The beds, lighting and seating could be improved for sure the seating in the living room isn't enough and the chair in the corner feels like it is going to collapse when you sit in it. The lighting is so bad we needed lamps to help us do our puzzles and if they weren't burnt out lights then they were so dim you couldn't see very well, especially the pantry. Overall very lovely host just could use some improvements.

Small family reunion

Amazing!

My girlfriends and I wanted a mom's weekend away, and this was everything we could wish for and more! We loved being able to spend the day at Sylvan, and then come back to a beautiful home surrounded by trees. I felt like we got both the beach and the forest. Although it's about 30 min. away from Sylvan, we were glad we were away from the busyness of the town, and loved that we could see the stars and enjoy the fire pit when we got back. We all loved it, and I just want to find any excuse to go back. We all also noticed how it seemed like their appliances and cooking tools and everything else weren't cheap and just found at some garage sale. The home was clean and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this place!

Love this Country Home

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this home. Brooke is an amazing host. The location is perfect to take day trips to the Local fairs, beaches and attractions around Central Alberta. A great family get away.
