Glacier National Park, family cabin. Southern border off US Highway 2

This newly remodeled year round home looks directly into the Glacier Park. Its always a great place to stay when visiting Glacier. Early season when the Going to the Sun Road may not be open over Logan’s Pass the cabins location is perfectly situated to access both sides of the Park! It is two stories with two bedrooms up stairs, a king room and a queen room. Downstairs there is another queen room, the kitchen/dining area, bathroom & living room.

It’s uniquely decorated in Montana decor inside and out. There is a BBQ area on one side of the house and a fire pit area on the other with plenty of seating.

All towels, linens, comforters, blankets, kitchenware, pots & pans, utensils, refrigerator and microwave are new.

The location looks into Glacier Park from the front and goes into the National Forest Service in the back.

The house stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The house is a great spot to enjoy the park, but not the crowds. You can do a full circle tour of the park from this location. Two Medicine is very convenient as is the east side of the park from here. There are hiking trails located close to the house, rather inside or outside the park.

West Glacier, East Glacier and surrounding areas can be very hectic, this location is not. In the winter it’s considered very remote. In the summer it’s located conveniently next to Glacier Park. In the spring it’s a unique location to access both the east and west sides of the park especially if the Going to the Sun Road hasn’t opened yet!
A new game room with a pool table and a foosball table has recently been added.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We did not utilize everything there as we were gone most of the time, but everything worked and beds were comfortable. We had a great time in Glacier!

Great spot for Glacier family adventures
The cabin was a wonderful launching spot for trips into the park with both east and west entrances at convenient travel times. The cabin had plenty of room for our family with the three bedrooms. The kids loved watching the trains roll by while we were there. The road is close to the cabin but not loud at all inside. The beds are comfortable and fans are available for good sleep. Bill was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had during our stay. We had a wonderful time and created so many lasting memories!

Comfortable cabin
The cabin was very comfortable (beds were great) and we enjoyed playing pool after long days of hiking in GNP. The location is convenient to the Two Medicine entrance, and we also hiked at Many Glacier. Loved Glacier National Park and enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

Bill was an amazing host! He gave plenty of recommendations near the cabin. He messaged frequently to make sure our stay was going well and everything was working out for us. I would definitely recommend the Essex location. It’s a good location between the west and east side of Glacier park.

Great place near East Glacier
Our host, Bill, was wonderful. Very responsive to any communication. The house was clean, comfortable, warm in the chilly mornings and cool even when it got warm outside. Absolutely loved the fresh, ice cold spring water straight from the faucet. I would recommend this cabin in the woods to anyone and would stay again if we're in the area.

Great stay!
This property is located perfectly for access to both sides of the park. It was plenty comfortable for the six people in our party. The kitchen and its supplies were very good; we cooked several meals there. And finally, we enjoyed the outbuilding that had foosball and a pool table.

Terrific Location between West and East Glacier
Quiet cabin right on Route 2 between West and East Glacier. Nicely secluded from the crowds inside the park. Loved the decor and amenities! I was concerned that the trains or road noise would be too loud but this was entirely untrue. The trains were charming and the road noise was negligible. I’d love to stay here again in a future visit to the park

Super location, everything you need!
We used Bill’s cabin as our home base to explore the Glacier from the West entrance (45 min) and Two medicine (45 min). Last day we made it to the East entrance in an hour- so perfect for getting to most of the park easily. House is well stocked, plenty of linens, comfy beds and nice big dining room table. Great stay!!!

Excellent!
This cabin was the perfect location for us to land after our many miles hiking and exploring GNP. Because we were centrally located, we were able to visit the south, the east, many glacier and west entrances. If you are not able to stay inside of the park, it’s important to succumb to the reality of driving. The cabin is situated right on the highway which allowed for easy access. We were able to get to trailheads before 8am no problem. The cabin was also very clean, beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was stocked for all our cooking needs. We loved the cabin vibe and the kids loved the game room. The cabin stays cool, no worries in summer months. Also, while the cabin is close to the hiway and that is communicated, I would tell you not to worry about noise. The windows can be shut and it’s hardly noticeable. Bill was also an excellent host. Responses were immediate and kind. He even stocked water for us, which was a bonus. I would recommend this place for sure and would absolutely return!!!

"Uncle Bill's Cabin" is a gem for any family lucky enough to find it! We had an amazing time there. The house is large and very comfortable, nicely decorated and everything you need is there, I mean just about anything! The location is perfect for seeing the park and the views getting there are just as amazing. We really enjoyed playing pool, etc. In the detached game room and had a campfire each night under the amazing MT big star filled sky! We will definitely be back and hope to meet Bill. The house really reflects his love of Montana and the GNP area.
