Great stay!
Quit nice neighborhood…stairs inside a little tricky but just take your time. Clean and great balcony…view of the Maria board and water. Peppers, the restaurant next door very convenient, friendly and good. Not far to Old Town. Uber inexpensive to get around.

Family vacation
The house was clean, comfy beds, nice showers. Walking distance to market and good restaurants. There was street noise, which was to be expected. Also, construction right outside but it didn't make it hard to get around. Loved the water views and city lights across the bay.

Beautiful home in a great location
The apartment is beautiful. Spotlessly clean with every amenity you could possibly want right down to the panini maker. We spent most of our time outside on the terrace overlooking the harbor. We also appreciated the location away from the masses in the old city but within easy reach by the number 6 bus for 2 euros. There are some lovely restaurants nearby and a number of beaches tied together by a walking path along the water. There is construction underway outside the apartment which once completed will make this property even more special. Thank you for everything Mato.

Convenient new port stay
Delightful convenient compact location. Mato was very responsive. We particularly liked sitting on the large balcony terrace and watching the boats come to the harbour. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. We found it good for the four of us. Would recommend.

Amazing stay
Mato was the best host. Helped us so much when we had an unexpected delay and couldn’t meet our other guest. Fantastic location and lovely property. Some building work going on at the moment but it didn’t make a difference to the fantastic time we had here. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay in Dubrovnik
We really enjoyed our stay and only wish it was longer. The apartment was in a great location on the marina with easy bus access to Old Town and a 15-minute walk to the beach.

Major Construction
The entire front boardwalk/walkway is being torn apart. It spreads for miles...we had to walk in dirt, water and sewage. House is cute...but the construction will be going on for well over a year and they start at 7am. I highly advise to look for another house. Major dissapointment

Dear Cheryl, Thank you for taking time to write the review. It is obvious from all other reviews how we treat our guest and try to make their stay as pleasant as possible. To be honest, this is the most unpleasant experience we had with guest after 8 years of renting our home. We have apologized for the construction works on the city road that took place during this stay in the certain period of the day, and even returned 50% of the price for this inconvenience that is beyond our control. However, the lady was very rude all the time, even to my elderly mother who checked up on them to make them feel at home (said the F-word to the 70 year-old women among other things). The rest of the family was nice, they afterwards apologized for the behavior. We do appreciate every guest, but this behavior was very rude. Regards

Great place to see and explore Dubrovnik from
Our first time in Dubrovnik, we chose the Lapad area deliberately to get away from the Old Town part of the city. The whole of Dubrovnik is spectacular to experience and very easy to get around, so this apartment down near the Marina was in an excellent location, close to grocery stores and bus routes. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and we were met by Mato's lovely mother who introduced us to the city and the apartment. Would highly recommend the apartment and hosts! Keep in mind that the Marina itself is undergoing a fairly large scale redevelopment until late 2023 so road access is a bit hampered by the construction work. It should look amazing once finished.

Wonderful stay in lapad
Lovely accommodation for a group of 6 adults. Central amazing location right on the marina with plenty of restaurants. 10 minutes to sunset beach and 40 minute walk into old town. Current works around the marina however, this did not hinder our stay and local businesses were open and unaffected. Host was amazing, great communication and easy check in :)

Lovely apartment - but roadworks
This is a lovely apartment that suited our family needs. It was very clean with plenty of linen and additional supplies to make settling in easy. Our host's mother greeted us on arrival allowing us to drop our bags off early. She was also very helpful when we left, quickly translating our needs to our driver. We really appreciated her kindness. Our only issue was the major roadworks along the street which at times impacted our transportation and ease of access to and from the apartment. It will however be exceptional when completed.

WOW! An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Excellent accommodations, the outdoor space is a bonus. You overlook the marina with mountains in the distance. Everything you could want in a kitchen area. Beds super comfortable. Crisp white linens. Plenty of towels. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very pleasant. Superb place, host and location
We will be back! The location at the marina was fantastic and easy to get bus into Old Town (no6, 10 min). Supermarket and bakeries as well as good restaurants nearby. So happy to spend time on the veranda in the shade and watching the role go by. Bonus was the 15 min walk to Lapad beach where we were able to swim every day. Mato the host was super helpful and made our stay perfect.

beautiful location, amazing balcony
This was a really great place to stay. The thing I was unsure of when I booked was how the location was. It turns out it was about ideal. The area is a mix of residential, seafront, and hotels. You are directly overlooking the harbor and a lot of boats. The outside patio is not just for show. There are several nice restaurants a few steps from the apartment (like, basically neighbors - but not privacy-bothering ones). We walked down and took out some great meals (Croatian and more international/Western) and ate them in the relaxation of our own place, with wine from our own kitchen as needed. Old Town is a couple of miles off (once we even walked it - recommended for the thrifty and ambitious with 35 minutes to kill). There is also a bus, rideshares, etc - don't stress about this. Several beaches are within a mile's walk as well as bakeries, supermarkets, etc. The rooms were nice, just as in the pictures, with plenty of space for our family of four. Kind of an ideal spot to set up shop for trips in and out of Dubrovnik with a convenient and comfortable home for the end of the day.

We had a wonderful stay, Mato was brilliant from the start of the booking and throughout, he also arranged transport from the airport and a trip for us. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped and in a very good location. We were 5 adults and a toddler and it was perfect for all of us, would definitely stay again.

Location, location, location
A marvelous old stone house across the street from the marina. Quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. Four adults with room for more and a beautiful terrace that we, unfortunately because of rain, didn’t get to enjoy. Our host was VERY helpful and extremely quick to respond to all of our questions. Highly recommend.

A great place by the harbour
It was a perfectly pleasant place. We were here in the off-season, so a lot of the city around us was closed down. But, we had a chance to explore the entire city with no problem. Had a wonderful traditional peka dinner. The nice host of the home set this up for us. Easy and convenient location. But, we had a car, so I can’t talk about the local transportation. The market was close, the kitchen was filled with all you need and the home was cozy. The outdoor patio a bonus. The wall walk in the city is a must. A wonderful city.

Beautiful Spot, Great Location, and Wonderful Owners
Spent a really relaxing week at the Stone House. Super property that was perfect for 2 couples. Everything you need is in the house, but most of our time was spent out of the house on the wonderful terrace or visiting the great choice of restaurants within walking distance. Also very convenient to Uber into the Old Town or other areas of Dubrovnik. Mato took care of arranging our transport to and from the airport and his mother graciously welcomed us and stopped by before we left. One of the trip highlights was a really nice wine bar/winery called Skar just a couple of doors down from the property. The owners are very pleasant and have a family history in the immediate area dating back 400+ years. We finished every evening here with a glass of wine (or two) and an interesting conversation with Mato and Marina. Highly recommend the Stone House and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay
A delightful property in the ideal location for visiting in and around Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik can be a very busy city so it great to escape to the tranquil surroundings of the Stone House with superb views and some fantastic restaurants literally on the doorstep. The property itself is very well equipped and has those added touches of the little things you need (and usually end up having to buy). Fantastic terrace out front. The bedrooms are slightly smaller than they appear in the pictures but they do not detract from the experience however. Special mention to the hosts who went out of their way to accommodate our early arrival, many thanks. I would thoroughly recommend !

Great apartment with a beautiful terrace in a quiet neighborhood!
My family and myself really enjoyed our stay, the appartement is exactly as described, super clean, modern, and has an incredible terrace/patio with lounge chair and sitting area ideal to relax/entertain your group. Mato was a great host, very responsive and helpful who assisted us with pickup from the airport. The house has air conditioning and all amenities you could wish. Location is a bit further away than we expected, even though distance wise it is not very far from the old town, it would be a good 30 to 40 minutes walk (up and down hills) so we ended up taking Uber every time we needed to get to town. However there is good restaurants around the apartment ( highly recommend “Peppers” just next door!) and it is close to a beach and the ferry to the islands which worked out great for us.

Charming Seaside Retreat
This property is everything the pictures promise and more. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. The terrace is a stunning private outdoor living space where our group enjoyed many sunny mornings and happy warm evenings. One bathroom upstairs and one downstairs both with small functional showers. The indoor living room and dining area are very comfortable but given the beautiful weather we always used the terrace to gather.

Wow! What a great place!
This apartment is so clean and cute. My family of five felt very comfortable as it is very nicely furnished and spacious. Also, the outdoor deck is amazing! We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck enjoying the amazing view. The owners, Mato and his mother are over the top accommodating and enhanced our trip with their kindness and gracious nature. We recommend this place 100 percent and hope to return in the future.

Beautiful home and location
This was my first visit to Croatia and this home was amazing!!!! Mato and his mother were amazing!! We were there to celebrate our 40th (5 of us) and we arrived to find a cake and wine in the fridge!!! House was stunning with a wonderful outdoor patio overlooking the harbor where we drank and watched the yachts and cruise ships come and go! House was fully stocked with all the things we forgot!! Sunscreen, converters for chargers, first aid supplies for those unexpected tumbles, washing machine was great to through a quick load in and a fully supplied kitchen with everything you could possibly need! Two wonderful outdoor/indoor restaurants Next door affordable and yummy! Beach was about a 20 minute walk along the water which was lovely and grocery store was about a 15 minutes walk each way. Super easy to find a cab into old town which was beautiful and definitely a must when in Dubrovnik! Mato was kind enough to set up Transfer to and from airport and was always a text away with any questions. The best of the best!!!

Really lovely property - excellent location, well equipped with the all important big terrace. Booking process very good, Mato was very quick to respond to messages and to share tips and recommendations. his mother was very hospitable. Hadn’t appreciated we were so close to lovely beaches and restaurants. Would recommend boat trip with Adriatic explore around the Elephati Iskands, fantastic clean boat, great lunch and perfect stops. Fell in love with Croatia on this trip . Walking the walls late afternoon was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We loved having our morning coffee and “happy hour” drinks and munchies on the extra large covered patio. We could not have been more pleased with our stay in Dubrovnik! The location was fantastic, with a short 25 minute walk to old town, yet it was convenient to nearby restaurants. Beautiful Waterfront Family Vacation!
Our family of four spent 3 nights in this beautiful waterfront apartment at the end of March 2019. The owner arranged transportation for us from the airport and his gracious mother met us at the unit. Everything was perfect--new furnishings, spotless appearance, well appointed kitchen, and great location. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area and Old Town is an easy 25 minute walk. If we return to Dubrovnik, we will certainly look to book this apartment again! Thank you Mato and special thanks to your mother, as well!!!

Fantastic patio for morning and evening!
Mato was really helpful and we were so pleased with the cleanliness, comfort and ambiance of the home. The street is somewhat busy, but sleeping was no problem. Bus service is only steps away and there's a small grocery store within walking distance. It was great to be in Dubrovnik but outside the old town. And the patio was THE best!

A lovely home in a quiet area of Dubrovnik. We especially loved the beautiful & massive lanai!
We absolutely loved this home! The owner, Mato, will go out of his way to make your vacation a most memorable one. He arranged our roundtrip airport transfers and his sweet mother met us at the house to give us the keys and answer any of our questions. The location is perfect, along the water in a quiet area away from the crowds in Old Town. A bus stop is located very close to the property, making it convenient to get into town. Hotel Lapad is just steps away from the house and we used that as a point of reference to be picked up for the Viator tours we booked. We highly recommend the restaurant next door, Pepper's Eatery. Their food & cocktails are outstanding and we even arranged for take out one night so we could enjoy dining on our own lanai. The view is unbeatable! There is also a wonderful pizzeria right next door with rooftop dining. Close by, within easy walking distance, is a variety of restaurants and a beautiful beach. Don't miss the cave bar under the Hotel More, along the beach. It's unique setting is within a natural cave, so much fun! It's definitely a refreshing stop on a hot summer day! Also next door to Mato's house, and not to be missed, is a fabulous wine bar! The owner, who is also named Mato, is very friendly and makes & sells his own wine. It's very good and he is happy to offer samples. The decor is also fun! We thoroughly enjoyed beautiful Dubrovnik!

Brilliant Property...great quiet location...great owners
First and foremost we would like to thank Mato and his mother for their welcome and were able to answer any questions we had. Could not fault the property in any way it had everything we needed. The large terrace was the most relaxing area and we spent many hours enjoying the yachts and the Cruise Liners coming in and out of the bay. Peppers restaurant next door as amazing...best fillet steak I have ever had! Also the pizzeria next door to Peppers is good value for money. Recommend the cable car in the Old City...we thought just a cafe at the top but it is an award winning Silver Service restaurant!...stunning. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Dubrovnik.

Wonderful house in a beautiful locaton
We loved staying at Mato's place in Dubrovnik. It was beautiful - just as the photos showed. The terrace is very special. We spent every evening on it. There was plenty of room for our family of four to spread out. We took Uber to get to Old town but there was also a bus that we could have taken. We walked to the beach - very beautiful. Communication was great. Mato and his mom went out of there way to make our stay special. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Dubrovnik.

My husband and I stayed with our friends at this beautiful house and loved every minute of our vacation in Dubrovnik! The house is as cute as the pictures and the patio is amazing (our favorite place to be!) Mato arranged for our pick up at the airport and met us at the house. He helped us shuttles, restaurant recommendations and referred us to his friend Ivo the chief that made us a fabulous last evening meal. The house is close enough to walk into old town or you can catch the bus that goes by right in front. We would go back again and book Mato’s place. I highly recommend it as a great place to spend vacation in Dubrovnik. Thank you Mato for your hospitality and use of your home!

Amazing family holiday to Dubrovnik!
We had a great time and would like to thank Mato and his Mother for all the help and advice. We visited Mostar and Lokrum Island and walked the wall of the old City, which was a highlight! I would highly recommend staying in this lovely and well equipped house, with easy transportion to the old City. I would also like to recommend Peppers restaurant next door for freshly cooked excellent food.

Let me first say that we really enjoyed our five day stay here and recommend it
There was one surprise however. Since the pictures of the view from the terrace were taken there has been a huge marina built right in front of the building which partially obstructs the view of the harbour. This marina is still under construction and I understand there are plans to widen the Lapadska road which runs right in front of the building. If you are planning to rent in the near future you might want to ask about the construction. You should also be aware that there is a narrow spiral staircase without any handrails that could be a challenge to anyone with mobility issues. That being said I would still recommend staying here

Beautiful, immaculately clean house with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Mato & his mum were very friendly & helpful. We loved sitting on the balcony watching all the cruise ships coming in & out. Lots of good restaurants shops & beaches within walking distance without having to go into the craziness of old town. We are a family of six adults, had plenty of space in the house & really enjoyed our stay here.
