Little Shell SM152 is a super cute 1 bedroom 1 bath condo is located in the heart of Port Aransas! Walk to the many shops, restaurants and attractions Port Aransas has to offer. The open kitchen and living area are the perfect place to gather in the evening. Bedroom ideal for a family of 4 get away, as it features a Queen bed, twin over twin bunk set, and a TV. The complex has a nice community pool and there is easy beach access right across the street. Parking is limited to 1 car. Parking pass must be displayed on dashboard. No smoking inside OR outside! This unit was decorated cute & had all the amenities you would desire in your home away from home. The pictures are an accurate representation of what you will find upon your arrival. The staff at Port A escapes were great. When we arrived at our unit, our keys did not work. After hours maintenance arrived in less than 30 minutes with a new key. They unit itself was very clean, though we did see 3-4 roaches during our stay, including one in our bed. The water in the shower was lukewarm at best, and the water pressure was sub-par.

The ac wasn’t working very well. Very humid the whole time and didn’t cool down at all. Found roaches through the condo both live and dead. Did not stay the second night. Hopefully get some type of refund for the poor experience.

The property and location were well maintained. The only issue we had was that when we woke up and made breakfast when I grabbed the plates to serve my family I noticed all the plates were very dirty. I notified the management and washed the dishes in the dishwasher. But that probably was my only disappointment. I’d say just check or maybe wash what you may use before using it. And there was only a small thing I could use as a broom. It would be a good idea to have a broom due to the amount of sand you my bring in from the beach. There is a wash station right outside the back door which was useful. We rented a cart and there was a cart rental parking so it worked out well.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best thing about this condo was the location, just a short walk to the boardwalk with direct access to the beach. Pool was also very nice and clean. There was a mildewy smell in the unit that I traced back to a pillow in the closet that needed to be thrown out. I would have liked to have seen a few ceiling tiles replaced (looked dirty/mildewy) and some new sets of shades. I understand the property probably suffered a bit of damage from Hurricane Harvey. The company did text us hours before the expected check-in time to say the unit was ready - which meant more time at the beach, so that was great news! Upon check-out, however, we were dinged with some extra housekeeping fees - but we explained to the manager that the 2 handouts we were given had inconsistent instructions regarding trash, and he kindly reimbursed us the extra fees). Also, a few bug run-ins (roach/spider), but I guess that’s hard to avoid when you’re in that kind of wet coastal environment.

We loved the location and how close it is to the beach. However, many dishes had been put away dirty. There was silverware that was clearly dirty and a pitcher that was sticky and also completely unwashed. The dirty dishes probably caused the roaches. It was otherwise clean if a bit shabby.

This was our third stay in Port A and our second arranged thru Port A Escapes. The condo was perfect for two people (bunk beds for 2 more), was clean and neat, and had everything we needed. Can’t say enough good things about Port A Escapes and their wonderful staff. Would also like to give a shoutout to Island Outfitters for their cart rental service...Outstanding!!!
