Easter break
Lovely comfortable cottage. Well equipped and very central to local shops. I walked to Long Mynd from the cottage. Wouldnt hesitate to return here at some point in the future. Owners were very responsive to messages

Pretty cottage in beautiful location
I had a lovely short stay in this property in Nov ‘23 with family. Both the cottage and local surroundings are very pretty. The cottage is well equipped and large - would make the perfect base for people on a walking holiday.

Quiet location
This large cottage is perfectly located for easy access to Church Stretton and the Shropshire Hills: Long Mynd, Cardingmill Valley etc. The cottage itself is very quiet. It is also warm and the hosts are friendly.

Very lovely house
We had a wonderful time in Church Stretton staying at East cottage. The house is very central but yet quiet and secluded. David and Gill were wonderful and came to say hi at the beginning of the stay. The boiler malfunctioned but upon contacting David, he was very responsive and promptly come to fix the boiler on the same day. The house is lovely and spacious.

Lovely cottage
Great cottage as a base for walking in the Shropshire hills. Everything was perfectly presented, walking distance from local shops / pubs. All we needed was provided in the cottage - thankyou!

Great place to stay
A lovely property in a very quiet setting, yet only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Fantastic walks from the doorstep on both sides of the valley. Church Stretton has everything you need for self catering with butcher, baker, deli and supermarket. The kitchen was very well equipped ,with a couple of omissions; a non stick pan and a can opener that worked. We would definitely return.

Towels, tea towels and sofas perfectly adequate but past their best. Extra chopping board would be useful, otherwise well equipped. Cottage spacious. Very quiet but handy for shops and walks.

Great family getaway
Couldn't believe the size when we walked in. Plenty of room for us all and very cosy of an evening. Communication in advance was great and the milk, biscuits and cake was a lovely touch and much enjoyed. We enjoyed visiting Church Stretton, everywhere was a short walk from the property. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore Shropshire

Ideal for family get together
Is very reasonably priced. Spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Owners were helpful to provide some blankets. Provided milk, cake and biscuits on arrival. Location is Ideal for the shops, trains and buses and round the corner from the lively Parish church. Well placed for walks especially on the Long Mynd.

Gorgeous gem tucked at the base of the splendid Long Mynd
A spacious, extremely well-appointed place to stay that feels so very welcoming. Sparkling with cleanliness, wonderful original character features and plenty of room for everyone and everything, we're already thinking about a repeat visit. The owners have considered every aspect of their guests' comfort and have made East Cottage an utter delight. It felt like home away from home. Spacious rooms, great kitchen and living space, practical utility room, clean and in good repair bathrooms and ample, easy car parking. Comfy beds and helpful cleaning supplies make it so comfortable and easy to stay. The location is perfect for accessing the beautiful countryside and is a minute or two from the High Street with its lovely shops and eateries. I would stay again and highly recommend it.

We had a very enjoyable few days using East Cottage as our base in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. The cottage is very well equipped and perfectly situated in walking distance of everything in Church Stretton. Communication was perfect throughout and would love to return at some point.

Fabulous New Year break
We really enjoyed our stay at East Cottage. The accommodation was clean and well presented. The cottage is situated on the edge of Church Stretton both an easy walk into the town centre and close to walks on Long Mynd. It was a perfect New Year break and we will definitely try to return.

Perfect Xmas Short Break
Well equipped and much larger cottage than expected. Great location for walks and town and local pub so nice not to use a car for weekend. Train station short walk away for a day out in Shrewsbury.

Great cottage in a fantastic location

East Cottage, Church Stretton, is a delightful place to stay. A traditional property with large, bright and airy rooms and comfortable furniture. Thick walls meant the property remained delightfully cool during exceptionally hot weather. The cottage is an excellent base for exploring a beautiful part of England. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Great base for gliding at the Long Mynd
Used as a base for taking part in a gliding competition on the Long Mynd. Great location in a quiet close and near to the town centre. Cottage as described on the website, has everything that is needed, perfect.

Brilliant cottage
The Cottage is an an excellent location.Close to the town but very quiet. We had everything we needed with plenty of space in the kitchen and utility. The lounge was spacious but very cosy in the evenings and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. A lovely cottage which we could recommend.

Much bigger than you can tell from photos. Really clean (and I’m very fussy!). Literally a minute walk from shops and pubs but no passing traffic so very quiet. Good central location for all that’s around.

Excellent quiet location yet within reach of the town with all its Independent shops and the fabulous Long Mynd hills 5 minutes walk. The rail station just a few minutes further away. Cottage effectively heated, kitchen well equipped. All very clean.

Beautiful property in great location
Had a fantastic stay at Church Stretton. The cottage is beautiful and very cosy. We had a power cut after storm Arwen but things were fully restored later in the evening and we kept warm by the gas fire (and at the local pub) until things were solved. Church Stretton is a lovely place to visit with lots of great places nearby as well. The owners were very helpful sorting out issues with the alarm (post power cut) and then subsequent fuse problems very quickly. Would love to return for another visit - may need to save the pennies though as I spent lots on yarn in the fantastic crafting and knitting shops. Great food at Berry's and at the Kings Arm's in the village also enjoyed the Ludlow Farm shops.

A weekend catch up
This is a beautiful house within a five minutes mute walk of the town centre. It was fully equipped and in fact was much larger than we expected. It made the perfect place to meet up with old friends.
