"Was like a delightful step back in time. Peaceful! Loved the countryside. Local cows became friends. Learned about using turf in stove. We loved it! Very easy to start! Stephanie was wonderful and made some reservations for us as well as providing turf for our first night when stores were closed. Lovely village!"

We went to bed with no siren and traffic sounds from the city and woke up with the songs of birds. Recommend this place for people who need a get away from the hustling of a busy life. "Very quaint cottage in a peaceful setting. We loved seeing the farmer gather his cows each morning as well as enjoying the sounds of he birds by the feeder. Being so rural, it took a little drive to get to any major roadway, but we quickly figured out the best routes. The cottage had many nice little amenities such as instant coffee, tea, seasonings, even fries in the freezer. Owner was very responsive when we had a question and gave us suggestions of things to do and where to eat in the area....

"The house was lovely, clean, well furnished (in a way that makes you feel like you’re visiting somewhere special), and spacious. We loved waking up in the morning to the spectacular views and returning home after sight seeing to a company friendly kitchen and comfortable living room. The hosts who passed off the keys were an added treat: gave us the inside scoop to get away from more touristy attractions to more local ones, and made us feel like we were friends."

"Quin is a great base for traveling around the west of Ireland. The house is so clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, with the occasional moo from the cows in the field next door. Tony and Maria are welcoming hosts, the scones Maria made for us were still warm when we arrived. Quin is a lovely village a very short drive away. Abbey Tavern is great for a pint or a meal. Highly recommended."
