This is in top 3 of our most favorite resorts. Pros: - 2 bathrooms in 1 room - delicious, good quality food, with lots of variety. quality vs quantity - spacious rooms - all rooms are oceanview - majority of the staff are friendly, polite and service-oriented - 5 pools - no reservations to dine in the evening - dress code is not too strict - golfcart service is quick - the bracelet serves as keycard, provides access to everything, just tap - provides access and bus service to sister hotels - lots of storage in the room - adult pool’s exclusivity is imposed - the food hall is very unique, I have not seen this concept anywhere - beautiful property - has a gorgeous chapel - everything is spreadout that it’s not congested anywhere cons: - not too walkable, golfcart service-reliant - beach is non swimmable - 45-minutes from airport - check-out is a hassle - kitchen area is a waste of space and features, they should have those only in few towers, AI guests don’t really need them - it may take a while to get sent to or get service in the room - no night time entertainment - no pool entertainment - all services stop at 12nn on day of checkout, cannot even get a snack before heading to the airport - there are no more bottled drinks in the fridge; you’d have to grab it from the restaurants, bars or pool area and bring it to your room Tips: Mauricio of Bistro resto provided us with the best service with a smile. The Chinese resto offers the best choices and tastiest meals.

We liked: The variety of areas The ability to go the sister locations What we didn’t like: Constantly being asked to join the information session about the timeshare from both staff and residents. Not enough written literature of things to do or information on the other properties. Needed to go to the sister property to get info on excursions. Not clearly marked smoking areas. Finding out that the heaters in the pools were not turned on and there was no plans to turn them on while we were there.

What a great place to stay. I’m always reading reviews and always hesitant to trust them, but do trust that this place is a Great place for the value. The Market is a must if you like options including great ice cream, burgers, crepes and much more. Only caveat is the hilly terrain around the resort, but there’s plenty of golf carts style cars that operate around the resort.

From day 1 we had a 3 hour check in. Golf cart driver was rude/confrontational, actually asking a guest for their room #- threating for sure- Room was dirty, Gatorade bottle that didn’t belong to us, dust all over walls, shower flooded, shower glass so dirty it was no longer see through. Customer service was terrible. After 3 days of complaining about my dirty room, got moved to another room with a leak in the bathroom. Active leak! The all inclusive is a joke! They don’t even have water in the room for you! Golf cart drivers don't stop for teenagers. Even a manager witnessed a driver sanying no to a group of 5 12 year olds, one with a broken foot. The child had to walk from sky pool to main pool in a boot- FYI- you need a golf cart to get every where! The market says it’s open until 10:30, at 9pm There is no more food! 3 out of the 5 nights, no ice cream for the kids. The buffet was TERRIBLE for dinner! Managers are not honest and just leave you hanging. It took 3 days for a manager to return a call. Such a shame because we were a group of 19, 5 different rooms and 3 families had major issues! Such a shame to experience Cabo like this! Still contactitng the resort since April 6, no response. How this property is still VIP status on Expedia is beyond me! Pros- breakfast buffet, pool service for lunch and the views are spetacular.

During the full stay (4 days / 3 night) there was no water pressure in the shower, we did get an upgrade to a better room due to the VIP status however there was no water pressure and every time we reported it, the hotel did not take any measures to fix the issue. There was even a comment from maintenance that it was a known issue in that building and that floor. We complained to management and there was no response/commitment to fix it, the manager Hugo during the check out approached us and mentioned there was suppose to be a refund due to all the issues reported during the stay and as of today we have not received it. Additionally, all the pools on the hotel were quite cold, my kids were not able to swim more than 15min as they were quite cold, none of the 6 pools they had was heated so the kids specially had a hard time enjoying them. Overall it was not a good experience considering the amount of money spent and for a 4 star hotel, it was disappointing

Staff were hit or miss. Some were super friendly and others were very grumpy. Pools were so cold my toddler refused to swim in it for the most part. Hot tub jet didn’t work either. Golf carts were good but sometimes you would wait 10-15 min for them to get places within the resort. Overall a fine resort but not the most child friendly. Food was average. All the really good stuff was “extra charge” and it was pricey.

The property is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The area where the property is located is Not the best, but they seem to have good security. The food and restaurants were very good. The all inclusive was worth it for us. My biggest complaint was the beds. They were very firm and hard. I could not sleep the first two nights. Also the sleeper sofa is worse than the beds.

The grounds were beautiful, gardens were well taken care of, the pools were great, the entertainment was nice also. The buildings and rooms needed a little help. There was a huge leak in our hallway leading to our bedroom. Literally a puddle that covered almost the entire with of the hallway. Our bedroom was very clean and the service was very good too, Everyone was extremely pleasant and welcoming. The food options were good and plenty. The drinks were just ok but it's expected at an AI hotel.

Sunset is a beautiful resort. It’s clean, they have the best customer service making us feel welcome throughout the stay. They offer a variety of good food options and restaurants, great pools and gym. They offer enough amenities that you would not need to do at the resort. The After is a fun place to hang out in the evenings. They have a shuttle that takes you to their sister resort Rose, which is located on Medano beach and makes for a great beach day.

Had a wonderful vacation. Loved being able to travel amongst the resorts to see all of Cabo. Had such an amazing time at the Sky Pool and had amazing service with Jorge. He is the best server and nowadays it’s hard to find. Will definitely come back to this resort again in the future. Only complaint was the beds and bedding. It could have been much nicer or updated in our rooms.

My family of 6 visited this hotel and it was great!! We loved all the options for food. My kids especially liked the ice cream station in the new Market area. It gave my picky family a lot to choose from. Our room had 2 queens, a full kitchen, and a pull-put bed. We asked for a rollaway since we had 4 kids with us. There was plenty of room for all of us. It helped that there were 2 bathrooms especially with 2 teenagers and a preteen. Our spa on the deck was nice to enjoy in the views and feel the morning or evening air. It was a great way to wind down after long days in the sun. It's a quick ride to the sister hotels where you can hang out at the beach and enjoy the benefits of Sunset Beach All-inclusive. We took a boat out to the arches which is a must-do!! We had a great time!!

I regret to say that our experience at the Sunset resort was disappointing. Upon entering our room, we found a lizard scurrying around in the bathroom, which immediately put us on edge. The water for bathing was consistently cold throughout our entire stay, despite our request to have it fixed. The maintenance tried to fix it but the water was still cold. Our mornings were disrupted by the noise of a grasscutter at 6:30 am, disrupting any chance of peaceful rest. The room service delivery time was incredibly slow, taking about 1.5 hours, and some of our order items were missing upon arrival. Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations. We will not be recommending this resort to others.

The resort is really nice and very clean. We went with two teenage boys and it was safe for them to be by themselves. Our room was fantastic and we had a great view of watching the whales in the morning. We did have many food options and the pool service was spot on. We did adventure out to the Rose resort to do some swimming over there and that was enjoyable.
